Poem (self written)

My writing:

10:46 PM

Just like she was the darkness and he was her light,
He was the madness and she was his fight,
She gave him her love, his only desire,
He turned to ash when she burned like fire.

She broke down her wall,
Awaiting his call,
He broke down his pride,
He took that fall.

Mended together, their souls so clean,
Oh, so happy, they could never have been.

She was like a wild storm,
He was like that sand,
She took an extreme form,
He could barely stand.

He turned into a black cloud,
Which knew only to thunder aloud,
Shattering himself into his pain,
The roaring raging rain. (Tears of anger and sadness)

Forced, he left, he walked away,
A word? Barley did she say,
She hoped that somehow, couldn’t he stay?
She was sorry and she knew love would find a way.

Broken and cold,
Trying to keep hold,
It’s wasn’t her, he was clear,
Then why was there a need, for her to be here?

Broken and cold,
Trying to hold,
It was him, she was filled with fear,
But how can she let go, someone so dear?

She took a step, he turned back,
Moving closer, away from the black.
Her tear ignited his spark,
His touch lightened her dark.

He stretched a hand,
She kept her heart.
She stretched a hand,
He made the start.

Mended together, their souls so clean,
Oh, so happy, they could never have been.
