Every language has its nuances, but English is particularly full of challenging constructions, phrasal verbs, and idiomatic expressions. For someone that’s not a native speaker, or sometimes just from another region, it can feel impossible to grasp what is being said or to use the phrases and constructions correctly.
Native speakers themselves, however, are not exempt from making mistakes! This list of twenty commonly misused phrases was compiled by Kaylin Pound at Elite Daily. They are seen and heard on an almost daily basis, but you won’t make any friends going around correcting people with your new-found knowledge. Rather, use this list to educate yourself and use the phrases correctly.

English isn't even my first language and I've never mispronounced/misunderstood any of them. Wtf...

I have heard almost all of these and cringe when I do. The first one is my most heard and most disliked. I have tried to explain this to students and they just couldn't get it. They couldn't care less that their grammar is wrong!

Other than irregardless, which has now become so common that it's been accepted, and intents and purposes, I can't say I've ever heard anyone say any of the versions on the left. Are you sure you're not making them up?
