Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey has caught everyone’s attention and stunned viewers with the bombshell revelations about the British Royal Family, ranging from mental health issues to accusations of racism against their son, Archie.
The interview has also further polarized both the supporters and ‘haters’ of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I don't believe any of it. If she is the victim of "racism," why was she initially welcomed and embraced and given all kinds of privileges and a lavish wedding? It's just strange that people suddenly became "racist" and "jealous" only after her repulsive personality became more apparent. People got sick of her constantly hanging on Harry because she's clingy and controlling and she needs to show off her relationship. She also constantly fondles her hair with her left hand so everybody can see her ring, just like she constantly clutched her pregnant stomach (even before she was showing) because she had to make sure everyone's attention was on it. She pretended to be fine with all the protocol just long enough to trap Harry into marriage, then proceeded to continuously break protocol because she thinks she's above the rules. There's a reason she has a constant smirk.

I was actually surprised he didn’t leave the royal family earlier. Having Meghan gives him a close support network away from the family making the decision to leave easier.

The duchess' alleged behaviour within the family and the monarchy is an internal affair which is under their responsabilty to investigate. Jeffrey Epstein's crimes are the judge's business. Plus, no one is responsible for the crimes which were commited by one of the many people with whom they used to occasionally hang out... unless they knew.

I thought it was in the hands of the FBI and so forth. It isn't something that the royal family can investigate. The Queen is going to want to believe her own son is innocent, most mums would, so there would be a rather serious conflict of interest. He is no longer a working royal and so no longer has the protection of the palace. He has said that he is willing to be interviewed - he just expects people to come to him not vice versa because he's an arrogant t****r. Not sure I'd trust him to be honest mind.

People seem to forget that in the UK, the age of consent is 16 years old. While distasteful, Andrew did not commit a crime by having sex with a teenager and having horrible friends. That was a private family member for them to sort out behind closed doors, as are the allegations made by Meghan. Also, Andrew being a creep does not negate Meghan's behaviour toward her staff. It never makes sense to bring him up each time Meghan's absolute disrespect of the monarchy and the British taxpayers is brought up.

Spotlight the systemic racism that occurs daily here in this country. Spotlight the pariah effect that happens to brown people and people of color when they search for help with mental health issues. Wealthier than most people will ever be in this country and also have access to healthcare that most people in this country will never even see.

This is just snobbery in China. Darker skin suggests you are an outdoor worker or peasant and pale skin suggests an upper class indoor job or better still that you are so wealthy you do not need to work at all. If I remember right, Lady Diana had mentioned a similar thought. She, too, had to suck it up and carry on. One big difference, Meghan did not live her whole life in the U.K., so she was behind the 'curve' in knowing vast rules. She had to learn many items, like songs, expressions that are common there, yet not here. Harry is a wonderful spouse, could have done the same things that happened with his folks. Kudos to him!

A bit of a stretch for me. Look, we have no context for the comment. Harry has, allegedly, overreacted to comments before & maybe he did here & it was an idle bit of speculation. Or it might have been flagrant racism. By being coy they make it worse (deliberately?). Could they have provided detail without revealing whom? I wonder if they don't because it wasn't bad in itself or if it was so bad that it would disgust us more. I've had similar done to me, part of a story that upset me but further detail explained things better. This was something that was about their family and should have been dealt with internally. The awful racist relative needs stomping on & educating. In Harry's shoes I don't think I'd have even told an unhappy Meghan. I know that some people think couples should never have secrets but some bits of information are of no benefit whatsover. Though I might feel very differently if I knew more.

I don't get why Foxxy gets all the downvotes because that's exactly what was said during the interview. They were told: No title for their son, no security. Which might be a normal thing, but still they had this massive attention by the media which makes it impossible not to be provided with such high security standards. I really don't care about Meghan Markle but it's perfectly understandable that she worried about her unborn child. The British press hunted her so much it was disgusting to see. They already are a version which the modern world can embrace and love. Angela von Liechtenstein, Maria-Margarita de Bourbon, Mary von Habsburg... Royal families mary people of colour if they want to, it is just a matter of personal relationships, and race does not matter. There was no opportunity, and they failed at nothing. It was just a marriage, and it is extremely difficult to manage individualities in such a large family, especially a family which has to incarnate so many kingdoms and peoples.
However, the topic is extremely polarizing. Mike doesn’t believe that Harry and Meghan’s supporters and haters will come together and call for a ceasefire. (You only have to take a look at the comments on pretty much any British or American online news outlet’s articles about the interview and you’ll see just how heated things can get.)

I was horrified when it was revealed that Archie would have no ‘title’ or ‘protection’ and their reasons for discussing his skin tone...but Oprah’s drop jaw reaction was not journalism. EVERY family having a mixed race child wonders the same thing, which I think should have been addressed. The Royal family was so very wrong for their questions. NOTE: I have multiple friends who won’t date their own race because of the darkness or lightness of someone’s skin. We’re all human. Correct the wrongs and stop over- dramatizing to instigate problems. Education and civil conversation is our only hope.

Enough already. If you experienced incessant harassment, and you became actually suicidal the way she did, you should know that she reached the point of absolute severe deep depression. With deep depression, a person got passed the crying phase (well, in many cases, that’s what happens— perhaps others would still cry a lot while also dealing with deep depression, but many others don’t; the anger and depression take over the need to cry). Also, she as a human being who probably, like many women and girls, learned to bottle things up, she is used to not crying in public, as much as she can, despite the amount of harassment, trauma and abuse that a woman or girl usually go through throughout her life, because it is her human right to keep her tears for herself and not showcase them to the public,— that could have been another big motivating factor into why she tried her best NOT to cry in the interview.

Great grandchildren dont get prince or princess titles by birth, only children and grandchildren of the reigning monrch. This is just how succession works in the UK since the 1700s. Once Charles becomes king then Archie will be a grandchild of a monarch and would then be a prince. The only reason why George and Charlotte have titles is due to special request from the Queen as William is a future king. No other royal grandchild has prince or princess titles. I find it odd Harry didn't bring that up. The Queen did offer Megan and Harry the title of viscount when he was born but they refused stating they didn't want him to have a title. Other than that archie will inherit the title of Earl of Dumbarton on harrys passing. As for camilla, well she is the wife of the next in line to the throne.

Harry and Meghan's son, Archie, wasn't automatically entitled to the Prince title, as he is not the child of a future monarch. However, the Queen stepped in and issued Letters of Patents to give all the Cambridge children prince and princess titles (only the direct grandchildren of the current monarch get titles automatically; the Cambridge and Sussex kids are great-grandchildren and, therefore, not covered). Charlotte and Louis would have been Lady and Lord if the Queen hadn't issued. As for comparison, Archie is currently 7th in line. His cousin, Princess Beatrice was 6th when she was born (currently 10th), so, not that much difference.

Because since 1917 (before Queen Elizabeth was born) only the first 6 in line at their birth get to be prince or princess. When/if Charles becomes King Archie will be entitled to a princedom. Also, didnt MM and Harry say they wanted no title for Archie so he could be raised without pretence? ALSO, security costs are paid for by the tax payer. If Harry and Meghan are no longer WORKING royals why should the British tax payer pay for their security? Harry has 21 million pounds inherited from his mother and 30 million pound inherited from his great grandmother. They ARE NOT POOR.

remember when william & kate, after being together for long time & rumors of engagement had been leaked then they went on a break? still kept in touch, eventually together w/william starting to take her to events, exposing her to paparazzi. then, suddenly, engagement announced. always thought that he proposed but he wanted her to understand what she was getting into, what would be demanded of her, get used to constant media, etc. before they made it official. harry didn't do that but apparently he was prepared to take action if it went sideways like it did for his mom.

I don't understand why everyone automatically believes whatever these two say in an interview. Because they came and spoke against the Royal Family so therefore it must be true? I also hate how everyone wants to drag Prince Andrew into all of this. Yes, the Royal Family have been silent about allegations against him, but they have also been silent about Harry and Meghan. They have not made any public comments about them. Harry and Meghan are the ones holding interviews with the media and releasing public statements. The whole thing about Archie not receiving the title of Prince being against protocol is completely untrue. Archie's father is 6th in line to the throne. Archie is not owed the title of a Prince. Extended Royal Family members are also not entitled to security. They left the Royal Family to live the life they wanted. They could live peacefully and securely in private. But no, they just can't help themselves and choose to throw themselves and their children into the limelight again. I'm so sick of seeing these two. There are so much more important things going on in the world.

Finally, some sense! I certainly do not wish H&M inc or any of their children any malice nor ill will but I am really tired of the "we want to live a private life" comments and yet almost every day there is another cause for herself to be in the media. I do not doubt that she has experienced hardship but when it comes to other women having the tragegdy of miscarriage, so has she. Mental health issues, oh, that too, experienced racism, yes, she has but it appears to be anything that keeps her in the spotlight, ironically. That is not how you lead a private existence. As for Harry, I really feel sorry for him. He lost his mother at a very young age, no child should experience that but the grown man is being led by the nose. I wish them a peacful life but I don't think they will have one, Mevhan will be sure of that.

In some ways, I feel sorry for Meghan, because being an American and a woman of color, joining the royal family must have been a culture shock. But ultimately, H&M left the family, left the job and left the country, while complaining about no longer being paid, trying to use royal titles to start up their own business, and wanting more privacy, and yet here they are, in an Oprah interview, surely the least private and most media thing anyone can do.

Claiming Archie didn't get a princely title because he is “black“ is an outrageous lie. None of the Queen's great grandchildren got one (except for the direct heirs), simply because of rules established a century ago. Meg and Harry actually REFUSED the title their son was entitled to by birth, which is “Earl of Dumbarton“.

Meghan has a track record of dumping people. There was exactly ONE member of her family at the wedding, her mother. She didn't even invite her mother's side of the family. She dumped her entire family on dad's side. She dumped her first husband by moving out in the middle of the night and sending him her wedding ring via mail. Her best friend stopped talking to her over this. Now she's dumped her husband's family too. Let's see how long it takes her to dump Harry too.

"Let's see how long it takes her to dump Harry too." i give it five years before meghan divorces and claim Domestic abuse/violence( why do think she chose to live in in LA) rather than as will turn out she is abusing him ( the red flags are there)

I'm totally against them here. They seem to look for likes, sympathy, advertisement. Harry is an adult. Many adults have family problems. Like alcoholic father who left the family, not supportive nor loving mother, malicious siblings, bullying at school, poverty. We have to be responsible, shut up and work. Harry can work in a family company following their rules or leave and work somewhere else. Just like all of us. But we don't go to the tv. No one cares anyway. I'd say: do whatever you want, Harry and Meghan! Just do it privately.

I don't understand why everyone automatically believes whatever these two say in an interview. Because they came and spoke against the Royal Family so therefore it must be true? I also hate how everyone wants to drag Prince Andrew into all of this. Yes, the Royal Family have been silent about allegations against him, but they have also been silent about Harry and Meghan. They have not made any public comments about them. Harry and Meghan are the ones holding interviews with the media and releasing public statements. The whole thing about Archie not receiving the title of Prince being against protocol is completely untrue. Archie's father is 6th in line to the throne. Archie is not owed the title of a Prince. Extended Royal Family members are also not entitled to security. They left the Royal Family to live the life they wanted. They could live peacefully and securely in private. But no, they just can't help themselves and choose to throw themselves and their children into the limelight again. I'm so sick of seeing these two. There are so much more important things going on in the world.

Finally, some sense! I certainly do not wish H&M inc or any of their children any malice nor ill will but I am really tired of the "we want to live a private life" comments and yet almost every day there is another cause for herself to be in the media. I do not doubt that she has experienced hardship but when it comes to other women having the tragegdy of miscarriage, so has she. Mental health issues, oh, that too, experienced racism, yes, she has but it appears to be anything that keeps her in the spotlight, ironically. That is not how you lead a private existence. As for Harry, I really feel sorry for him. He lost his mother at a very young age, no child should experience that but the grown man is being led by the nose. I wish them a peacful life but I don't think they will have one, Mevhan will be sure of that.

Or to put it another way...36 year old man quits lucrative job and then is stunned to learn he will no longer be paid by previous employer and now needs need to use his own millions to support his family while searching for new lucrative job

In some ways, I feel sorry for Meghan, because being an American and a woman of color, joining the royal family must have been a culture shock. But ultimately, H&M left the family, left the job and left the country, while complaining about no longer being paid, trying to use royal titles to start up their own business, and wanting more privacy, and yet here they are, in an Oprah interview, surely the least private and most media thing anyone can do.

Not to mention royals are not allowed to make money off their titles, yet these two launched "Sussex Royal" branded merchandise while shirking their duties, among other things. Now they're complaining because the Queen put her foot down and said "you're either all in and follow protocol or you leave the job and give up the perks". I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Very one-sided comments. I'd like so see an interview with the people from the palace who quit their jobs during Meghan's stay there. Would be a nice follow-up and a well rounded story. I like to hear both sides of a story.

Claiming Archie didn't get a princely title because he is “black“ is an outrageous lie. None of the Queen's great grandchildren got one (except for the direct heirs), simply because of rules established a century ago. Meg and Harry actually REFUSED the title their son was entitled to by birth, which is “Earl of Dumbarton“.
