On March break I was taking my two grandchildren for a 5km hike and to see long houses. We stopped for lunch at McDonald’s. There was a huge sign at the checkout with a shamrock shake for one week only. I asked for two hamburger happy meals with the smallest shakes. The lady looked at the kids and said no. That’s too many calories. I won’t sell them with a happy meal. So I said ok can I get 2 burgers, 2 small fries and 2 small shakes. Then I said can they have the toy and she said no. I said this is ridiculous and we are and had a great day. I am still shocked I got lectured at McDonald’s of all places! Why do they put the huge milkshake sign in front of the kids? Am I being ridiculous to be bothered by this?
