Meet Larry the ginger cat, given up by his owner for breaking into the food cabinet. He was adopted by a woman named Michelle, and soon became her son, Abel’s, guardian. Larry fell in love with Abel the moment they met.

“When Abel cries Larry runs over to comfort him,” said Michelle. “Abel makes sure Larry is with him when he moves from one room to another. Larry tolerates more than I’d ever imagined a cat could or would tolerate.”

No wonder "Yarry" was raiding the food cupboard. Apparently he was starved... for love. What a precious solution!

Orange cats are generally smarter, invariably more affectionate, & definitely the most curious of all cats. Yep, they are.

Aww, such a wonderful kitty! And I spy thumbs! He's polydactyl. How could someone give up such a lovely baby? Glad he's happy now.

Dog people doesn't want to see anything like this, they don't want to believe that cats are as affectionate as dogs, maybe even more

I'm personally a dog person, I found this quite heartwarming. I don't speak for all dog people, but I find cats can be equally affectionate.

Shame on that vet (of all people!) for giving away the cat for a very stupid reason.

Sorry - thought I read somewhere it was a vet who gave her away. Anyhow, whoever gave her up was heartless.

Polydactyl Kitty's are the BEST for temperament! Every one I have had or met was outgoing, never shy, usually vocal(!), and infinitely patient. Baby is so lucky for his friend forever!

I agree. My first cat was a six-toed red tabby. Wish that polys were as common in the South as they are in New England!
