They benefit from high altitude, a culture which values good runners and an unusually high percentage of their muscle mass is posture muscle (endurance) rather than twitch (strength). Funnily on the west coast of Africa (the ultimate origin of many Jamaicans) the twitch/posture ratio is reversed, which makes for very good sprinters and other sports requiring explosive power.
"If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends. Make it last 7 years - friendship never eeeeeehends" ♬♪
Complete & utter BULLCRAP! Last decade I've said goodbye to a couple of friendships, which lasted (respectively) 34, 19 & 12 years.
That... is... not... true... well, okay maybe I'm an outlier... two backstabs and one complete abandonment/ghosting... all three were friendships of over 10 years. I'm still alive. I think.
Did the two people survive the backstabbings?
Load More Replies...Not always true, i was best friends with someone for 19 years and we are no longer friends.
He stole from my mother, he was lucky i didn't bash his head in.
Load More Replies...false. Had friends much longer than that, turned out they were huge back stabbers
Well this doesn't apply to humans obviously. I've had a friend forever and overnight we weren't friends anymore(how silly)... I hope they meant dog years. Be friends for 7 seconds with a dog and this friendship will be eternal.
Huh, interesting. We observed a pattern at my last employer that if you stay more than 7 years, you end up staying for life! It was mostly true. I broke it, left at 10 years.
We had someone in my company who quit to start in another company. She worked for 27 years with us :)
Load More Replies...... or my BFF of 11 years who ghosted me after I got married. She wanted to be (and was) my Maid of Honor.
Load More Replies...Regardless of what one friend does to betray the other? Any real psychologist wouldn't say something so unprovable.
My friend left me on the 7th year. We knew each other and were best friends since we were 1.
Not true! I was friends with someone for 13 years, had a small argument and friendship was over :(
This is very true with my friends and I. I've known my three best friends (who are more like sisters to me) for over 20 years. I think though you have to look into why you guys are friends to begin with and what keeps you together in order for this statement to be true.
Australia's diameter is 600km wider than the moon's. The moon sits at 3400km in diameter, while Australia's diameter from east to west is almost 4000km.

In other words, unlike modern times where one day is 24 hours, a winter day would require fewer hours from beginning to end than a summer day. This is because a day started at dawn and ended at dusk
