I hope the news item is true. However, the photo is incorrect. This is a "normal" human kidney, probably ready for transplant, NOT lab-grown. How do I know? Kidneys have a fat tissue capsule (the yellow bits) and a fibrous capsule (the white "veil"). There would be no reason to create fat, it would add complications to the lab process for no biological advantage. Not sure they can create the fibrous capsule either, but at least that would have a function.

Uh. I don't think ostriches have human-level sentience and human-level emotions, so they don't have "romantic" attractions to us. They may have misplaced breeding instincts, since they are likely imprinted onto humans, but they don't "fall in love" with us romantically XD And they don't try to "seduce" humans, they just try to máte with them. Anthropomorphizing human social emotions onto animals is really, really weird.
