I’m Honestly Fed Up With All The Bad News, So I Illustrated 30 Of The Best Ones From 2022
We are often bombarded with fear-mongering and shocking headlines that make us feel that the world is falling apart.
However, while it’s important to report on problems and issues, I believe there is so much good in this world that it needs to be found and promoted just as widely.
This is especially true after the last few years we have had with COVID, political, and social unrest, and seemingly more negative headlines than we care to count.
Because of that, I started The Happy Broadcast. It's an anti-venom to the vitriolic rhetoric that pervades our media. Also, this year, I’ve illustrated even more happy news than in the previous years and our app WHOLE is bringing more joy and positivity in the world!
Consuming positive news is one known activity that can boost your outlook and mood. We need more positive news to acknowledge that the world is actually getting better little by little. So, with that said, here are some of the top performing positive news illustrations from 2022.
You can find my previous articles about The Happy Broadcast on Bored Panda, here (2021), here (2020), here (coronavirus), and here (2019).

FINALLY! I see this happening more and more in the US as well. My school now has pad dispensers in the bathrooms (Guys as well)!
It would be nice if there were still buses running! In a great many rural areas - where you would be most likely to see bees - no buses run any more.
Do you know who gave the most money to this cause? A coalition of American universities that include but are not limited too: Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Memphis, and Clemson. What do these schools have in common? They all have "Tigers" as their mascot.
They taking extreme steps to expel Native Americans from their tribal lands...
Too bad they didn't ban Elon Musk before his father drilled his mother/s
close call, now we just need to make sure they don't become endangered again.
My cynical brain is thinking "well, from 2 tigers to 4 is a 100% gain".
The Infrastructure needa to be in place to support this and our current infrastructure projects do not align. A car park being built.may come.with 10% of spaces being EV. Even then they arent necessarily going to be rapid charging. Then its not just as simple as wiring more in as you need the network to be able to cope so you need to upgrade the electrical infrastructure significantly. Thats before we even get onto people being able to afford these cars and the environmental impact of constructing them.
Meanwhile - US Town Rejects Solar Panels, Worried They Will "Suck up All the Energy from the Sun."

Well done Spain. I am definitely in favor of us respecting the life and health of our pets....but it also shows how rich and therefore how much mental surplus we have in the western world when we have the surplus to look after our pets. In some other parts of the world, people have to use all their energy to save their children, and sometimes they didn't succeed anyway.❤😢😭❤
This is brilliant! It solves cruelty, antibiotics, and environmental impacts all at once.
Our house was struck by lightening recently and we lost a modem, 6 month old washing machine and cctv cameras. It was disappointing that nothing could be repaired or in the case of the washer, no repair guarantee provided and initial guarantee voided. (We’ve decided to never use fisher and paykel again).
We really have to demonize the actions of the industrialists of the last 4-5 generations.

I just physically cringed at “books that were thrown away”
Based on super smeller Joy Milne, a nurse who could identify Parkinson patients by their smell alone. The scientists believed that the scent may be caused by a chemical change in skin oil, known as sebum, that is triggered by the disease.
i realize the worms are probably in a box but i just imagined someone trying to just, barefisted shove worms through a letterbox
Booze saved human lives during Medieval plagues, and now are saving plants during Modern times.
My dad would love this. My mother would hate it. My husband would want to know if it's got boobs (just kidding) (slightly)
Don't have to tell me! I always feel good when I help others, even if it's just letting a car into traffic.
Dogs in research facilities is absolutely disgusting. Same goes for most animals.
He advocated for peaceful protests, yet idiots still want to trash stores, vehicles, and other property.
