I am Maria.

Last year I have moved to Australia for my Master’s studies all the way from Europe.

This experience has changed my life.

For that very reason I have started a blog to share those parts of my life. I am delighted by this country and I want to transfer a bit of that delight to you.

Marija Mrvosevic

Born as Marija Mrvošević in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1992. I studied Serbian literature and language at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology. At the moment, I’m working on gaining my creative writing master’s degree at The University of Melbourne.

Writing is something I’ve always done. Believe it or not, my creative journey began in 1995, with a poem „Oh, cloud, my cloud“. And I was so lucky, because in that moment of childish inspiration my mom heard me and wrote the lines – onto the cover of a poetry book of all things! That is why this poem is the basis of my first poetry collection (soon to be published).

The only book I’ve had published so far is a short crime novel. These days, I am devoted to writing a Sci-Fi novel, and moreover, I plan to finish my first short story collection.

My name is Violeta and I am an editor here at Bored Panda. I love reading memes for a living. It’s obviously much more than that, but I appreciate the variety of topics, information, and pics I get to see every day and share with the world! Those funny memes really make my day too.
Being born in the ’90s in post-Soviet Lithuania speaks more about me than I’d like to admit. I’m still learning about the world and myself, but I do love my friends, traveling, art, and my cat.
My favorite fact to share about myself is that I used to hide meatballs in my friend’s pockets at lunch so I could go play outside. I wish all those meatballs could find their way back to me someday.
