Japan is a country where people believe that god is everywhere. It is very easy to find a buddhistic statue when you travel around Japan.
But some of them are laid on a hidden place in a mysterious way. Gohyaku-rakan (五百羅漢), meaning “500 statues”, locates on a mountain in Toyama Prefecture. As the name describe, as many as 500 statues are laid in the forest. Scared? Excited? I had a strange feeling that I couldn’t tell.
