I Create Mini Paintings Featuring Patterns And Prints To Curb My Fear Of Them (Part 1)
As much I love fashion, I'm a total wimp when it comes to prints and patterns. So to curb this dumb fear, I spent some free time creating little mini paintings that feature prints. I made up each print myself, (still not sure how that happened, but glad it did!).
As it turned out, it was a lot of fun! Combining different colors and shapes was a great way to express creativity. In fact, the next time I go shopping or make an outfit, I might actually not choose a boring solid color.
In total, I created 32 designs on watercolor papers sized 5.5 x 8. Here is part 1 that features 11 of the designs. Which do you like the best? And do you suffer from pattern phobia as well?
Stay Tuned for parts 2 and 3!

Load More Replies...Kimberly, I forgot to tell you my favorites: Seafood Green Dots, Pink Ombre Sequins, and Blue Tartan. (But they're all exquisite!)
Thank you for telling me your favorites. I love seeing what appeals to people, there's always something that appeals to one person more than another. Mine happen to be Seafood Green Dots, Red and Purple Florals and Blue Tartan. So we seem to like 2 out the 3 same designs! Cool!
Load More Replies...I love all of your patterns, Kimberly! These are gorgeously vibrant prints that would look fabulous on the sort of dresses you present. You have no need to be anxious or nervous about prints and patterns! So keep on keepin' on!
Aww thanks! You're very sweet! Yes, I learned that there's no need to be anxious of such pretty things such as patterns. I will keep on and hope you do as well! :-)
