Asking to customize a food order can feel a little bit daunting, especially for the more introverted personas out there. First, there’s the possibility that the person taking your order might roll their eyes in judgment when you ask for your medium-rare steak to be burned or your burger to come without a bun. Then you might hear the chef complaining about it faintly in the background, making you wince and crouch in awkwardness. However, those who never try asking might never know just how satisfying and yummy delicious compliance can be.

I hope it didn't go to waste. I order only 1 tomato for my work, if salad wraps or something are on the menu (after school care) because only 1 or 2 kids will eat it and it goes to waste otherwise (I take it home but don't eat fresh tomato much so it is likely to go off).

Years ago we use to order Papa John's pizza every Friday, and I always paid the extra 50 cents for an extra sauce - sometimes cheese, sometime BBQ, etc. Didn't always get it, but wasn't going to call them for 50 cents. One day I was fed up and wrote them about how they were often forgetting my extra sauce that I paid for. Next time we ordered, they delivered pizza and a grocery bag full of the various sauces that I typically order. They have a ridiculously long shelf life, so we didn't order extra sauces for a very long time LOL
