About 23 years ago, when my first boss told me that living close to work has lots of advantages. Not much later my wife and me did indeed move. About a 7-10 min walk away from my job. Been there ever since and still on the same job. It has so many advantages indeed. But I do know it depends very much on job and country to make this actually work and happen.
When you always try pleasing everyone, you please no one.
If you want something done do it yourself
Indeed, taking initiative can make the job effective. However, it can also be important to work together and asking for help can also improve results and create a sense of community.
• Others may not love you for who you are, but it's you who holds the power to genuinely embrace yourself.
• Treat others with respect if they're not being reckless and condescending.
• Keep evolving as an individual, even in the later stages of life.
- if you wear rose-colored glasses, every red flag will just look like an ordinary white flag
- if someone doesn't respect your boundaries, that means they benefited from you when you didn't have any.
Fear doesn’t need to be gone. You can still do it AND feel insecure or afraid. Do things whilst respecting your fear.
When you read the news, think about whose truth and perspective it is. I studied media and my teacher emphasized this and it still applies to this day. Be critical of what you read.
