"Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom" is actually a good movie. But it's for parts a tough watch. And let's not even get into the book it's loosely based on. And I actually liked the movie and concept of "Tusk", but once was enough. "Cannibal Holocaust" would be more rewatchable if not for the tough animal cruelty (doesn't matter they ate them or not - it's tough to see).

Boys Don't Cry.....powerful movie about gender and sexuality that was ahead of its time. It's hard to watch but I don't regret it.

The Hours. There was a lot of hard situations to watch. The boy shouting for his mom after getting dropped off at his babysitters house. Every situation is implied but not spelled out. The scenes jump back and forth through time. So, if you don't get what happened in a scene set in the past, you'll get hinted in the scenes set in later times.
