so i'm getting surgery on my spine in a few months, and i'll have to spend about a week in the hospital recovering. what are some necessities when you're in the hospital?

Books, books & books….( in my case, I like to read ) Other than that maybe an IPad/laptop to watch movies/shows and your Phone, of course.
Toothpaste and toothbrush, nice pillow, hair brush, maybe an extra blanket, slippers for when they make you get up and walk, sandals, shampoo and soap, phone and charger (if they let you), things to read, kleenex.

Bring simple games, like uno, that you enjoy! Bring something small that makes you happy, like a stuffed animal or a blanket, I recommend even bringing both.
What I will say, don't bring anything with too much of a value. Leave jewelry at home.

Whatever hygiene products you bring make sure they are simple and basic, I find it comforting to have a favorite blanket or stuffed animal. Make sure what you do bring is easy to open because some days can be rough. Good luck in recovery 😊
Eye mask & ear plugs. Toiletries including lip balm & moisturiser. Foot/Nail care items (hospital staff are not allowed to cut toe nails), lots of comfy practical underwear & PJ’s, your fave pillow (hospital pillows suck), slippers, chargers for your electronics, download some audio books, books, jigsaws/solo games that don’t require electronics.
