At least in the US...we have fought racism so long that it is hard for us to recognize other types of discrimination.
Discrimination in any form is always the first step in the fall of society.
Stop it.

95 percent, or more, of the population have the freedom to live by their gender identity. When the remaining minority want to have this right, society as a whole seems to lose their s**t.

What is it called when the majority deny a minority a basic freedom?

Mate, it’s gone beyond the point of basic freedom.

• Real-life bullying persists, and with the rise of technology, we now face the addition of cyberbullying.

• Climate change poses a grave threat, fueled by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, leading to higher temperatures, extreme weather events, and risks to ecosystems.
• Inequality remains a pressing issue.

• The spread of misinformation.

• Governments thinking they can do whatever they like with their significant power, seemingly unconcerned about the full consequences of their actions.

Something I just heard on the radio news- Australia has just decriminalized public intoxication and begging (yay!) but also snuck in a bill that allows adult prisons and justice programs to be used for juvenile offenders! Going against the UN rights declarations and the rights of the child. On top of this, there is a much higher number of Indigenous children in youth detention than any other group. We need more programs in place for prevention, not harsher sentences and putting kids in with adults!

Not collaborating over borders. Huge things were accomplished in science. One example is the EHT. Most successful collaboration in the world. So many countries collaborated. So many people worked together. Another one, the James Webb Space Telescope was also extremely successful.
If we put ourselves together, we can do anything. If big pharma companies could work together for less expensive medicine, it could help millions on millions of people. So, if we are to make a better world, we have to change for the better.
Another problem is ethnic, cultural and gender, and sexual-oriented discrimination. My State is kind of anti trans, but trans people are still people. They are of the species homo-sapiens. Homosexuals are also Homo sapiens. Heterosexuals are homo sapiens. Politicians? Yeah, idk.

The biggest problem is education. As a kid in a state that is in 48th place out of 50, it sucks. Standardized testing should not be standardized. School should teach, not funnel in information that is only used on tests. I don’t care about that stuff. I care about the things that are to be used in jobs, professions, and other things in life. I want to learn not what, not why, but how things are the way they are. School should be used to teach things, and to challenge their minds. To let us think, and not to become an input-output-test-filler-upper. Kids want challenge. And to not provide challenge is dumber than a mote of dust.
