November 2022 I resolved to break up with my emotionally abusive partner. I ended it in February, moved out in July. It's been 6 months no contact and it's glorious. I feel safe for the first time in nearly a decade, and have the peaceful home I've always wanted.

To keep living. Went to get some much needed help in January, and here I am. Lots of work and tears later, and I am feeling better than I have in years.

My bf and I have 3 daughters, the youngest two being very alike in many ways. With 3 kids I often call them by their siblings' names, especially the two youngest' names get mixed up a lot! Now, I know it's a normal thing and it's just the brain messing with you (had a psychologist explain it to me many years ago). But it annoyed me sooooo much that I decided to have it be my resolution to call each kid by their correct name. Because I focused so much on it for the first months I actually got better at it. And I think it somehow made my bf focus more on it as well. We still say the wrong names a lot but it's a whole lot less than before the resolution. Lol.

I didn't resolve, but hoped and prayed to not care so much about what other people think. I've been pretty anxious this year, but these last few weeks I haven't worried so much! Oh, and spend less time online... yeah
