Women and men out there… what’s a compliment or cheesy line you’ve received that was borderline cringe but somehow came across as sweet in the moment?

I’m still in my 30s, and not long ago I was sitting in a very important board meeting. We were presenting a project to the owner of one of the most influential companies in my country.
The man was elderly, very much “old school,” and already hard of hearing. His children, who are CEOs, were with him at the table. I happened to be sitting on his right side that day, and I had my hair tied back in a bun.
At one point, in the middle of all the serious business talk, he suddenly turned to me. In front of everyone, and said:
“Excuse me for saying this, but you have the most beautiful ears I’ve ever seen.”
It completely caught me off guard—but it was so genuine, sweet, and disarming I just melted for a moment.
Of all the compliments I’ve received in my life, that one remains one of the most unexpected and endearing. Sometimes it’s the smallest, most innocent observations that leave the biggest mark even coming from octogenarian.
I dated a guy for a little bit who's pick-up line was "D**n, girl, I'd take an a.s.s.whooping for you." Didn't last long, but still. Most original I have ever heard.
Many years ago someone told me that I had "the most beautiful cheekbones like of a celtic princess". Yeah, well, somehow somewhat cute but he blurted it out into the irc channel for everyone to read (not intentional) and everyone there knew he meant me, though he didn't name.
