Woman Who Was Invited To Bachelorette Party Out Of ‘Pity’ Sends Out List Of Insane Rules All Girls Must Follow

In reverse ‘Bridesmaids’ one bachelorette party guest is getting dragged on the internet for a list of ridiculously strict rules she created for the other attendees. Unlike Megan in everyone’s favorite hen party rom-com, she didn’t suggest the girls do anything as wild as start their own fight club, but the exact opposite. The party rules – sent out in an email – was instructions on how to keep the weekend as wholesome and frankly dull, as possible.

The screenshots were posted online and as you can imagine people were in shock at the militant-style instructions for a weekend in ‘Sin City.’ (Facebook cover image: Bob Dass)

The Vegas party story was initially posted by the user Ursula on Reddit. She explained that the buzzkill, ‘Taylor,’ hadn’t even been given her party invitation originally because she was such a “downer,” and because while they were sorority sisters in college, they had never actually been friends. According to the post, the bride, ‘Emma,’ was guilted into inviting her to the wedding and then the bachelorette celebrations.

Well, Emma found out the hard way just how big of a mistake it was to invite her sorority sister after all the girls on the guest list were emailed the following list of Christian life “moral codes” to uphold to “keep us all out of trouble” – because who would want that?

To keep everyone “aligned with the church,” she went ahead and did some research so the group could attend services after their trip in “Sin City.” While her list was designed to keep anyone from getting too crazy, she explained church would be “a nice way to cleanse us of our sins.” It’s hard to imagine there would be much sinning as the next part of the list clarified there would be no hard liquor, no sex in or around the suite, and of course no random men. In motherly fashion, she said she would provide groceries for the room so each girl should venmo her in advance to contribute. And in case you thought they would be consuming anything other than snacks, she gave a stringent no drugs policy, including Adderall.

People in the comments agreed the list warranted an un-invite

And this is why people who are strongly religious get a bad name! Before screaming at me...consider: you are free to believe what you wish to believe. You are free to worship (or not) as you see fit. I have utmost respect for diverse religious opinions and practice. I do not have any respect for those who automatically assume any of the following: that those who do not share your beliefs are morally, ethically inferior. That those of other faiths are doomed and will never be acceptable. That those who do not believe in any deity are "damaged;" "inferior;" or "ethically challenged." The idea that someone would force others to attend their church, worship in their manner or force their morality onto another person is insulting, arrogant and very, very wrong.

totally agree with this! As a strong christian and firm follower of Christ, I hold to many beliefs and moral rules, but i would NEVER try to force those on someone else who doesnt share my beliefs! By trying to control the group she gives christians a bad name.

And here is the fasted way to be uninvited to a wedding/bachelorette party.... Quite pompous of her if you ask me. I thought only the maid of honor laid down the ground rules for the bachelorette party with the bride being the only one with veto power.

Ummm where is the response??? I’m dying to know the conclusion of this. Additionally, I believe I read they went to college together so, um I hate to be the one to break it to her but you’ve already been in “an environment with prevalent drinking”. You can’t make rules for a trip that 1. You weren’t even originally invited to 2. Did not plan/arrange/organize 3. Are so unreasonable that you shouldn’t even go

Fully agreed. And I really want to know how it continues, too. They could invite her but she'll probably throw a fit (again). Since she knows all their plans, is she going to stalk them if they uninvite her? Do they still have time (and money) to cancel all the plans and reservations and make new ones in order to avoid her? Or are they planning on simply ignoring her (it seems it didn't work so far)?

NO ONE goes to Vegas to attend church!!!! I can't believe this girl, badgering her way into the wedding and bachelorette party then laying down insane rules. If they wanted a behaved bachelorette party they wouldn't be going to Vegas!

I don't doubt it's real, because I had the same thing happen. I was part of a bunch of guys from work who decided to take what we dubbed The Male Bondage Trip in an RV to California's north coast. We didn't have solid plans other than to play some golf and have a good time. One of the guys insisted that there be no drinking, drugs, or womanizing on the trip. The organizer basically told him that he wasn't going to impose any terms on anybody, and we were all expected to be responsible for ourselves. Mr. Puritan chose not to go. That was over 30 years ago, and we still talk about how great that trip was.

Will they be stoned to death if they break any of the rules? Or just burned at the stake? It's depressing to know some people still want to prescribe to antiquated schools of thought and are so closed-minded.

Here’s the problem that’s bigger than the crazy women making the demand. It’s the wimp bride who on two separate occasions was intimidated by others into doing some she didn’t want to do. If she’s old enough to get married, it’s time for her to grow a pair and stop being such a doormat.

This could be a nice kickstarter for a movie. Either a comedy one in the lines of "Braidsmaids", or a horror movie when the religious girl lost its mind and go rampage with an axe against her "friends" for not follow her rules. I think I´ll start scripting right now.

Because after all this is not your wedding!!! However I would have not invited her to begin with and I think the bride should take her invite and throw that s**t away 👏

News Flash you're not the bride! It's not about you and what you want! What a freak, who acts like that. I can't even believe she thought it was okay to send that email, you're not even in the wedding, you weren't even supposed to be invited yet you think that every needs to follow your rules for someone else's bachelorette party?? It was the beginning of her email that everything we needed to know was revealed, she was excited that this was their opportunity to "bond". Sweetheart, college is over and done, the opportunity to "bond" is also over and done. Other than having someone to make fun of and bond against, I'm clueless why she was included. I'd like to see the bridesmaids convo when debating wether or not to include her. I don't believe anything in that women's email was a surprise. Hard to believe this whole story is true.

If faith is so important to the other girls, do they need the rules? Also, it’s not her wedding so she can go pound sand. Finally, medications, if anyone says you cannot take your medications, they need to duck off, whatever the meds are, your Health and sanity should come first.

This pisses me off. You can't force someone to go to a church against their will. In fact, if Vegas is known as 'Sin City', why would they have a church? And besides, if you're keeping someone from taking their PRESCRIBED medication, you can go f**k yourself! I understand you don't want to be surrounded by people snoring coke or something, but medication that helps people isnt a bad thing! I swear, i would have b***h slapped this girl, uninvited her, and b***h slapped her again.

This headache could have been avoided by the bride sticking to her original decision to not invite Ms.Oblivious Control Freak in the first place: "Sorry, but all invitations have been issued and thanks for calling, bye" should have sufficed to all but the intentionally obtuse. Since that was not the case, message her and insist she forwards her credit card info to the hotel and every other venue on the brides "to do and go" list, with the explanation that if she is going to be running the show, she is going to be paying for it, and paying for it in full, as well. Don't concern yourself with embarrassing or hurting her feelings, she never took anyone else's into consideration and doesn't deserve the courtesy. Better to ruin her plans (and get her off her high horse) than to ruin the weekend for the bride and all 17 welcomed guests.

Omg I would be on the phone so quick if I were the bride and telling her that it would be best due to the temptations that the sin city may have for her that she not attend. We would not want her coming back with a gambling problem no would we. And I would make the conversation so that she would not be able to get a word in edgewise or to be able to disagree about anything that you are saying. It will make it sound as if it was totally best for her to not go and that no one would be the wiser that she was just plain not invited at all. That should do the trick!

i cant say that these rules were really all that bad. The "no liquor rule" was a bit extreme and none of the other guests should be told they were going to church but honestly..if it was ANY religion other than Christianity no one on this thread would be saying to uninvite them. If the girl were muslim all of you would be too scared to be called intolerant to speak negatively. Get a clue. Hypocrites!!

Obviously this list of rules for a party that isn't even your own is ridiculous. But, at the same time, I feel really sorry for this girl! She obviously viewed herself as being a respected and valued member of the friend group, or she wouldn't have Sent the email in the first place. And then, the whole bunch of girls are completely disowning her, making her out to be a desperate hanger-on. So, her ex-friends come across as 'mean girls', while she just made a harmless faux pas.

I don't believe this. This doesn't say what church is being referred to but I know quite a few Mormons and Mennonites and they've never said a word about my "sinful" lifestyle . Can't be Amish because they don't go past eighth grade. Just stirring up c**p. Maybe you need to change your mission statement Panda.

The first 4 were acceptable, assuming going to the church was optional. 5 seems like a lot of money per person for groceries. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there were going to be other uses for that money. 6 would have been ok, if not for telling someone to leave their prescribed meds behind. Overall, these are not an “insane list.” Maybe a little uncalled for and extra, but not insane.

The insane part is that she is a guest at a party and she is telling the host how to behave. She is demanding money from other guests and that's all aside from telling a grown woman that is not allowed to take her prescribed medicine. (And for adding, "we are not studying for finals" which means she determined that the woman does not have a valid medical need and is getting high) Thats insane.

I don't doubt it's real, because I had the same thing happen. I was part of a bunch of guys from work who decided to take what we dubbed The Male Bondage Trip in an RV to California's north coast. We didn't have solid plans other than to play some golf and have a good time. One of the guys insisted that there be no drinking, drugs, or womanizing on the trip. The organizer basically told him that he wasn't going to impose any terms on anybody, and we were all expected to be responsible for ourselves. Mr. Puritan chose not to go. That was over 30 years ago, and we still talk about how great that trip was.

Here’s the problem that’s bigger than the crazy women making the demand. It’s the wimp bride who on two separate occasions was intimidated by others into doing some she didn’t want to do. If she’s old enough to get married, it’s time for her to grow a pair and stop being such a doormat.

I'd disinvite her and tell her to get some like minded friends because no one else is a bible thumping downer.

Based on my last visit to the Las Vegas Strip, there are pamphlets for hookers all over the place. That girl is gonna have to have to walk around blindfolded. Assuming she's still invited of course.

"Oh, did I say the party was in the beginning of May? My mistake; I meant the end of May! We'll meet you there..." (while she and her friends are driving home from Vegas)

Ha ha, I would break her rules! :D people got the right to choose what they want to do n have fun at their parties lol. I agree with Gareth, if the person wasn't invited, they should accept they were not invited.

When I started reading, I thought that the bride has set some ridiculous rules. But why did a guest decide it was her place to make any rules for the party that not even hers?

Sadly, I know someone like this. Still think it's made up, but I do personally know someone who would actually do this.

Sounds like a narcissist. She should be cut off for the mental health of everyone else. If I were a bridesmaid I'd make sure to do everything on that list and spit "hard alcohol" in her face every time she complained.

I want to track this woman down and set her on fire, extinguish it with lemon juice then dump her in a vat of salt.

So person who is clearly not stable contacts the bride and throws a fit about not being invited tot he wedding...so then you invite her to the bachlorette IN VEGAS and then b***h about it online when she acts crazy.

i cant say that these rules were really all that bad.
