I love saying their name - axolotl! Do not recommend having them as pets, unless you are meticulous about their environment.

Doofnuts, I can confirm that greyhounds do indeed love to run, and if that was all there was to it, I wouldn't have a problem. But the purpose of greyhound racing is basically betting, and once large sums of money are involved, abüse is almost inevitable. Injury is commonplace, purging before a race is illegal but happens and ruins their health long term but that doesn't matter to the business because they are generally retired by 4 years old. Retirement sounds cute but it more often involves euthanasia (for the lucky ones), being sold to other countries with even less welfare legal protection, it goes on. But if you get the chance to adopt a retired greyhound, go for it, they are calm, gentle, affectionate, low maintenance, and they don't have oily coats so they don't smell (except faintly of popcorn, I have no idea why)

IIRC there were studies where productivity and general employee well being went up where this was done.

Good news? So I know sooner that I'm going to die by inches? So that I can take drügs which may slow it by 4-6 months? I'm going to go and stick my head back in the sand, call me if anyone comes up with a cure, or something to at least halt it.

EU already passed regulations preventing export of waste to foreign countries. The ban is being rolled out since 2023 and will be in full force by next year. Export is allowed only on strict conditions where the receiving country can prove they have established sustainable disposal pipelines.

OK, now I am genuinely confused. If the US Supreme Court did this, does that mean they believe in climate change? Will they now suffer the consequences of not going with the country's leader's stance on this?

I am falling in love with the countries noted here. Even though there is so much ugliness in some parts of the world right now, there ARE some places and people doing what's right to take care of ALL of us. I love you guys! ❤️
