Sounds like there must have been some grit in the "scrubby thing". I have several glass stovetops in my rental apartments, best thing for cleaning burnt-on residue is a razor blade scraper. It will not scratch the glass.

Meanwhile, 55% admitted they went for DIY solutions to challenge themselves, while 37% stated that they were more about learning new concepts. 33% sought fulfillment, while 23% used their projects as a creative outlet. 38% of those surveyed also described doing DIY projects as “fun.”

I've seen worse. Btw cake design is an acquired skill, but it also requires a base talent and a steady hand. Just like sculpture or painting anyone can do it, but only a few can do it very well. That bottom attempt isn't half bad for an amateur. I wouldn't try to make a career out of it though.

Depends where you live. In Europe we tend not to build houses out of paper, and my masonry walls would happily hold a TV like that, as long as the correct fittings are used.

It does work, the attempt just shows when they didnt take the excess off which is on top of the vaseline. I have done similar but kind of sponged on layers with some crumpled cling wrap after putting the vaseline on my fingers.

Why are you using a hammer to pull a s***w out? Use a screwdriver, and if the s***w is stripped you can get a rubber band and put it between the s***w and screwdriver and it usually works!

Depending on the age of the car, and this one looks pretty old, replacing a headlight is not too difficult. I've done it and if I can do it I really feel like anyone can. And they're not too expensive. Obviously I don't know this persons situation so that could have some impact on why they did things this way.
