I used to let Kohl be loose in my van when I drove. She loved to lay on the small table in the middle of the van and stare out the window, or hop onto the back seat and look out the back window. Then I read an article that talked about how unsecured pets are turned into ballistic missiles in even a low-speed collision, and they can injure themselves (or even you!) or possibly díe instantly depending on what they hit. Now all my cats travel securely in a carrier, and the carrier is seatbelted into a seat XD Same with my dogs - they have car harnesses and get seatbelted in. I know OP's brother isn't being irresponsible as his cat WAS kenneled, but it's a good PSA in general - do not travel with your pets unsecured in the car, even for short distances. It's dangerous for them and for you!

Mine won't touch wet food of any kind, even the really expensive fresh stuff. I've given up now and because they are both really good water drinkers, the vet has told me it's fine.

What is it with these collars/neckbands in all these BP photos? Do you always have them on your cats, even when they aren’t outside? If so, then why?!?!? Where I live house/indoor cats never have collars on inside the house. Only when taken for a walk or somewhere else outside.

I've got a vintage one for you! My very first cat Kaz - he's yawning in the pic, not "yelling", but he looks like he's yelling and it's always been one of my favorite photos of him. He was my childhood cat back in the 90s, so this is an actual physical photograph XD Kaz is the reason why tuxedoes are forever my favorite. (photo attached to comment below)
