If you are a parent, you might agree that raising a kid is not easy and requires a lot of time and energy. Yet, it's one of the most rewarding jobs there is.
Inna Sacali is a comic artist from Moldova that creates honest illustrations about her life as a mother and wife. Her comics depict funny and precious family moments as well as all the struggles she faces when taking care of her son. Inna takes her ideas from her real-life experiences and tries to accurately translate her emotions and feelings into vivid drawings.

Before Inna became a mom, she was a full-time architect. However, she has always dreamed of drawing cartoons or comics. After the artist had a baby, she put her job as an architect on hold and began to draw comics featuring her real-life experiences raising a cute baby boy.
"Maternity and art occupy the biggest part of my life now. It is an absolutely new experience that gave me a lot of ideas for my illustrations. Maternity leave (it is 3 years here in Moldova) and my sometimes sleeping baby gave me time for creativity."
I can totally relate. My 3 son has always just stopped in an awkward position his face gets red and he would grunt. Never had issues going just a really telling potty face
For Inna, it takes from one to three hours to finish a comic. The main source of her ideas is, of course, her son, who inspires Inna every day.
We got curious about the challenges Inna faces when creating comics. The artist revealed that the most challenging part of the creative process for her is finding the time for drawing. Another one is not to lose a good idea that just occurred during the process. "Sometimes I hesitate about how can I show my idea in the best way so everyone understands it once they see the picture."
The part Inna enjoys the most is when she finishes the work and can see the result that she likes. And of course when people, her followers and her friends like it as well.

Raising her kid limits the time Inna can spend drawing comics, so usually, she draws when her son is sleeping. The main theme of her comics is maternity, but the artist is eager to explore other topics as well. Maybe in the future. "I am still looking for my own style. I draw a sketch first, then line art, then color it and add shadows and highlights.”
Of course, the artist has those days when she doesn't feel like drawing at all. Inna shared that sometimes she doesn't have the mood to create or even doesn't have any new ideas for the comics. Anyway, she doesn't make herself do what she doesn't want to. The artist just waits until she has the inspiration again.
Inna has built a following of almost 29k people on Instagram and regularly posts humorous fragments of her daily mom life. The artist previously told us that it is very important to share the real and honest side of motherhood so moms can understand that they are not alone in this. "Even on rough days—you are still a good mother."
I don't get how young kids can be so in to vacuums. All 3 of mine have been super fascinated by it at ages 9months-2yrs ish. Do you really want to be an adult and have to clean? Or am I too much of an adult to understand how amazing they are? Hmm.
"For me, creating comics is a kind of art therapy that allows me to show my thoughts, my life, relationship and humor. They are quick and easy to understand for everybody. And people can relate to the stories I show."
Inna is also involved in other projects. Right now, she also draws illustrations for a company helping young parents to bring up their babies.

Is it sad that when I have hiccups, all of the remedies or treatments don't work at all or it works but then my hiccups come back but even more painful and annoying?
