My cat used to do this to her babies all the time. She had 3, and a few months later she had 5 more. She'd always cuddle 3 three like this at the same time if she could when they were younger. After she had her new litter of 5, she'd try to cuddle them AND the older 3! It was so cute. She recently had to go to a humane society because I had to many cats. <3

Happy and healthy pups! Ha not a Breeder. All spayed and neutered now, these puppies were and are loved, raised in warm safe home, and slept in a real bed like royalty, and no profit was made except memories. Tsk tsk assumptions. Thanks Leanne. Also they are pomchis (not that it matters). This was a bathroom doorway she was followed into.

We had 2 stray cats show up at our house and they each ended up having 4 kittens 1 week apart. At first they kept their babies separate but as the babies got older they shared. It was so neat.

Not "dueling", but "sharing, helping". I've heard of many similar cases in the animal kingdom. Must really help to have a built-in babysitter, the moms can take turns taking a break. In the wild, one watches & nurses while the other goes out & hunts, then they switch.

Much as I love kittens, I would love seeing fewer of them. Please spay and neuter your pets. Kittens can become pregnant at 6 months.
