We have a robin in our yard that bullies my husband into turning the sprinkler on. Perhaps we need a bird bath?

When I was in kindergarten, I had an elderly neighbor lady who fed a robin peanut butter sandwiches. I was surprised that bird could still fly, because he was VERY spoiled by my neighbor, who just couldn't say no when he tapped on her sliding glass door.

Birds only breed in spring, in most areas it won't be too hot. After that, the little ones leave the nest and the birdhouse is abandoned until the next year. It is important though to orient breeding houses to the north, so they will be seeing the daylight going by without being blinded. That way they can fend of intruders :).

The ceramic that it is made out of is notable because it helps keep the interior cool even on hot days. They have the ceramic tiles all over the Mediterranean for this reason.

It's a twofer. They get a house for awhile, you get roasted bird for dinner every night!
