Adorable Chaos Incoming – And You’ll Love Every Bit Of It
“Our pets are a huge part of our lives and can make our day-to-day lives richer than it would be without them," said the general manager at the Mercure Stratford-Upon-Avon Hotel, James Lys.
“We have noticed a marked increase in guests who bring their pets, specifically their dogs, travelling with them to share in the experience.”
You Just Can’t Not Love These Sweeties
Since so many guests (38%) bring their pets while traveling, Lys commissioned the survey to learn more about the relationship between humans and animals.
In addition to finding out that people prefer the company of their pets over their best friends, they learned that 79% of respondents missed their pets when traveling from home, and around 25% felt lost without their companion on the trip. Meanwhile, half thought that the presence of their pet could’ve made their holiday better.
It's a bird. The bird is bathing. Functioning as intended.
Apparently, some pigeons do this to soak up water in their feathers so they can supply nestlings with moisture.
A family of little red squirrels has taken over my bird feeder. They are very polite and are quite punctual: come at 7:30, noon and around 5. I am really enjoying them and am sure they could be tamed if I cared to.
That’s either one gigantic bird, or one tiny birdbath. L O L. Too funny. Now it needs more water. ❤️
🥰😂 nice man , smart bird. I have 3 around the house. The cat watches the birds, ducks, and squirrels for hours as they use a fresh/clean birdbath everyday.
So beautiful that Dad helps this bird get a bath every day! So cute!
I know I like a bath a day! This is the most hygienic bird you know
Delightful. I've got a bird feeder on my garden and the only two attendees are the same two magpies who are far too large for it but have developed strategies for feeding from it none the less. They come several times a day and I love them.
I have a tray feeder on my railing. The mourning doves sit in it to eat.
This is actually too small for a bird Bath. But hey this girl fits so she sits.
It looks like she eats ALL the bird seed and then sits proudly on the bowl! So cute!!💞💞💞💞💞
the pigeon needs a refill, the bath evaporated, just saying it'll be hot under all those feathers, and fat-
Besides the benefits already mentioned, our attachment to our pets has to do with their helplessness and vulnerability. We, as humans, feel that these fragile beings require our attention, help, and concern, similar to how we feel about children.
In fact, we’re less likely to feel empathy for adults because they can easily speak up for their rights or defend themselves from danger, whereas animals are unable to do so themselves.
I don't normally like clothes for dogs, but that puppy looks darn proud :)
Animals Being The Emotional Support We Never Knew We Needed
That's like my oldest chihuahua. I've had her for 13 years while I've only been with my husband for 3. Little traitor!
There’s also the need for unconditional love. Humans want someone who loves us no matter what, has zero expectations, and is always happy to see us, whether we’re grumpy or not. We need someone who truly knows us, can communicate without a single word, and with whom we have no fear of judgment. Meanwhile, in relationships between people, such things can be difficult to find; that’s why we often fill such a need with pets.
How could you leave this bundle of flerf alone at home when he so obviously needs his mommers?
The bond with animals is also unbreakable, which isn’t always the case with humans. The more time you spend with your pet, the more the connection keeps growing. If you need proof of this, just take a look at darling Hachiko, who waited for his owner at the train station long after he passed away.
Nobody tell Harry Potter that a Chihuahua has it better than he did...
Even Sigmund Freud, a neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, was a lover of dogs. He once said to his friend Marie Bonaparte in a letter, “Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate.”
These Faces Deserve An Award For Brightening Your Day
He found their companionship uncomplicated and pure. Freud became so inseparable from his dogs that he would meet patients with them in his consulting room. On several birthdays, he even received short congratulatory poems with wishes from them, purposefully written by his children.

OK, I'm embarrassed to admit that I do this as well if they aren't already with me.
That's me. 😅 Spocks NEEDS my kisses, though. It's a medical condition. He suffers greatly without them.
