10 Pics Of The Special Bond Between A Zookeeper And Giraffes That I Captured In North Macedonia

Animal and human friendships are always an adorable sight to watch. The trust the animals put in us, and our deep understanding of their feelings and needs are what makes these interspecies bonds so inspiring. And it is even more astonishing when such relationships happen between zoo animals that are not your regular pets and their zookeepers.

One such zookeeper RISTE, working in a zoo in Skopje, North Macedonia, has found an incredible connection with the biggest animals kept there – giraffes. The cute giraffes always follow him around, lovingly lick him and trust him completely, while also making great opportunities for zoo animal pictures.

Looking at them, it seems that a zookeeper’s job is probably a dream job!

So happy to see these pics, rather than some pictures of rich white woman with them dead after she killed them for sport, there is a special place in hell for people like that, THIS HOWEVER...is beautiful :) Sorry for the rant

While I can appreciate the bond between those majestic creatures and their human... I much rather see giraffes in their natural habitat than caged. Kudos to the human, who makes their life bearable.

He should be a shamed. He is helping the zoo keep the animals locked up, They should be out in the wild. He is a disgusting human being.

I wish I was him in those pics. I wish our species never had hunted animals so they wouldn't be afraid of us.. I would love to pet and love the giraffes :)

Giraffes are extermely endangered in the wild - more so than many people realise. Captive breeding programs are essential until such a time when no more wild ones will be slaughtered by hunters and poachers.
