So beautiful, makes me wish I was there even tho I hate cold weather!!!
Finally, an accurate representation of what it feels like to sit in my office.
Quite surreal. It reminds me of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" - the bit where creatures have been turned to stone and snow has fallen on them.
**turns his head slowly outside the window and starts to cry silently...**
It's like about five worlds in one photo ... Dang! Eat your heart out, Dr. Who!
Move over Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf!! The Disney Empire is going down, Baby!
THAT is just plain breathtaking! I feel like a grain of sand's baby sister ...
The coloration and shading in these photos is spectacular ... I've rarely seen anything like this!
This looks as if it's an underwater scene ... I know it's not but ... Sheeesh!
Wow, living in Auckland New Zealand where we don't have snow, this place is hard to imagine it could be so beautiful. It's like something from a fairy tale book!
This reminds me of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas '. Beautifully captured.
Beautiful! It could almost be a ghostly bird. Rather a big one, though!
Looks like bears in the middle and a dragon on the right front laying on open of a rock with its tail in an 's' curve.
One day me and my baby will see these ourselves by actually being there to see them and not in just a beautiful photo.

Enchanted. So beautiful. Normally I despise winter, but these pictures are so amazing, I'd love to go and see it with my own eyes
Came here to say just that. Although it's not the whole winter, it's just snow (and te smog) that annoys me. But indeed it looks as beautiful as these pictures show it.

Please, don't. I'm still recovering from the trauma... Don't get me wrong, I liked the song at the first few hearings, but here in Seoul, they bombarded the whole city with this song 24/7. EVERYWHERE you go, ANYTIME, from literally all the shops, even from chidlren's mouths.... The sound of this song.... Irreversibly spoilt an otherwise good song for me.
Load More Replies...Stunningly beautiful - but I'm still glad I don'T have to live there :-D
Oh sure. It's pretty all right. Sorry, but I can't view this with enthusiasm, and photos are as close as I want to get there, thanks. I grew up in Northern Alberta. -40 and below was routine where I lived. For all those of you who haven't experienced that, it means that exposed skin can freeze in less than a minute - and I've had frostbite. I was lucky, I didn't lose any fingers or toes. Even 25 years later, those spots still hurt when it gets cold outside. I've shovelled snow in that weather, I've walked to school in that weather, and you can keep it. Even if you have a block heater, you have to warm up your car for at least ten minutes before you can drive it, and in the meantime, you have to be outside scraping off the snow and ice while you wait. There's a reason we're retiring to Oregon. This is it.
I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for ~16 years. I feel your pain. It's rare to see northern lights cuz, to see them, u gotta be out in the cold.

I love winter! Always makes me feel like some serious magic is about to go down! Miss my life in a 4-season country! Definitely putting Lapland in my travel plans!
Man I LOVE WINTERR always wanted a winter Wonderland type of home 😆😊😊
Well, yes and no. Why should there be smoke coming from any chimney? You don't burn wood for 24/7 to keep warm. When it's under -20 C you need to heat the fireplace daily but not all the time. Also it seems there is only one house in these photos and I think the rest are saunas except a chapel of some kind in #5
Load More Replies...BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, BUT VERY UNREALISTIC. NO SMOKE COMING FROM ANY CHIMNEY.
For people who can handle cold this is truly magical! Well, happily I can, but if my wallet can handle Lapland? Wow, the group of people ever going to Lapland that have a magical time is shrinking. And don't forget not everybody has such an artistic eye as the persons behind the camera of this photo's must have. Plus with global warming as an international problem I now declare 'Lapland-magical time-enjoyers' an endangered species... Forget all this, beautiful enchanting photo's! (Which with the Laplandic enjoyer being endangered are incredibly rare, strangly)
