Ex-Employee Shares How Kanye West Harassed Staff And Wanted To Lock Kids In Cages At Donda Academy

Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is in the eye of a legal storm after a former Yeezy employee filed a lawsuit against him for “severe discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.”

The employee named Trevor Phillips, who worked for Ye’s Yeezy fashion line and Donda Academy for about nine months, revealed that Ye allegedly made antisemitic comments, berated his employees, and even wanted to put a jail in his contentious Donda Academy for kids. The school was founded by the rap mogul, and it is named after his late mother, but it is reportedly shut down at the moment.

“In front of the schoolchildren, Kanye continued his dangerous rhetoric. Kanye started to openly discuss how he only likes to date White women,” the lawsuit stated. “Then addressing the two school children, Kanye told them that he wanted them to shave their heads and that he intended to put a jail at the school — and that they could be locked in cages. The staff quickly distracted the children, and escorted them out of the room.”

Trevor also claimed that Ye showered Adolf Hitler with praises and called him “an innovator.” His remarks would also be peppered with hateful remarks against Jews and the LGBTQ+ community.

“Phillips, on several occasions, witnessed Kanye preach to his staff obscenities such as ‘the Jews are out to get me’ and ‘the Jews are stealing all my money,'” the complaint said. “Fearing for their jobs and also to de-escalate Kanye’s absurdities (so that the two present school children did not hear), the school staff did their best to ignore him.”

The former employee went on to accuse Ye of having an “apparent arousal” during a meeting about Donda Academy at a high-end sushi restaurant.

“What was meant to be a meeting with his boss about Donda Academy, its curriculum and horticulture, ended up being antisemitic and bigoted soliloquy-topped off with sexual harassment,” stated the lawsuit.

After the sushi was served, Ye allegedly began spewing hateful remarks during what was supposed to be a professional discussion.

“Hundreds of dollars in sushi was served, and while Kanye indulged in his food he could not resist indulging in his favorite topic: ‘The Jews are GREEDY and they keep trying to take MY MONEY,'” read the lawsuit. “In addition to other repeated attacks on Jewish people, Kanye then began threatening the LGBTQ community. ‘Yeah I am going for the Gays! FIRST the Jews, THEN the Gays.'”

“Gay people are not true Christians,” the rapper was quoted saying in legal documents. “And Gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control.”

Trevor, a Black man, further accused Kanye of treating his Black employees “palpably worse than white employees.”

On one occasion, Trevor claimed that the rapper demanded a Black campus security guard to have his dreads shaved if he wanted to keep his job.

“Even when class was in session, Kanye would scream and berate Black employees, while never even as much raising his tone at the white staff,” said the claims in the lawsuit. “Often, Kanye targeted Phillips – a Black man – not just with this disparate and harassing behavior, but complete and utter disdain.”

Trevor, who said he was fired by Ye in May, is now suiting the rapper for discrimination, harassment, a hostile work environment, and more. He is seeking more than $35,000 for damages.

“By filing this lawsuit, we hope our injured clients’ rights are vindicated, and that the famous artist Mr. West understands that his messages – which we alleged preach discrimination, antisemitism and Hitler-love – have no place in the world,” Trevor’s attorney, Carney R. Shegerian, told Page Six.
