Esther González is an artist from Spain who continues to illustrate funny everyday situations in a quirky and a little NSFW webcomic titled Miss Pad Thai. As of today, the artist has a large 109K following on Instagram from all around the world, and it's not hard to see why; her works are hilariously relatable!

Esther's comics have been featured on Bored Panda twice before, so make sure to see the previous posts here and here.

For a fresh batch of her new content, we invite you to scroll down below and let us know in the comments if you can recognize yourself in these situations too.

Bored Panda reached out to Esther to learn more about the evolution of her comics, the comic’s name, and more.

It's been a while since we had miss.pad_thai comics featured on our page, so we asked Esther to tell us what has changed. “I think that my style has gotten more detailed and colorful over the years. I have also changed my work tool to an iPad (I started inking by hand with rotrings and paper, scanning and finishing it on the computer, while today I draw almost everything digitally). The topics have also evolved a little bit (just like my life). Before, I used to make more comics about couples because I lived with a partner, now I live on my own, and I focus more on other day-to-day things, friends, plants, hobbies... My comics are still humor-based, exploring day-to-day situations, that’s for sure,” shared Esther.

I'd rather regret not having children than regret having them. Having children you don't want now, to avoid possible future regret, seems like a really bad trade.

The name 'miss.pad_thai' is quite distinctive and intriguing. We were curious to learn the story behind the name and if it holds any special significance to Esther. She wrote: 'Miss Pad Thai' is a nickname that a hotelier gave me in Thailand while I lived there for a few months, just before moving to Barcelona. I used to eat pad thai almost every day (it's a Thai food dish) and he was very amused that I liked it so much that he named me that. Every time he saw me appear at the door of the hostel he smiled at me and called out: 'Miss Pad Thai!! Miss Pad Thai!!'. In the end, I took affection for the nickname. I chose it for the Instagram account because I didn't know what else to pick. I didn't think that it would end up becoming the name of my character, but the truth is that I'm happy that it is, and I think it fits.”

Esther also shared how she finds the balance between keeping the comics light-hearted while still depicting the ups and downs of life in a relatable manner: “I think that the way I see the world helps and also all the influences from art that I had throughout my life. I enjoy seeing the humor in everyday situations that many of us share, so I try to make comics that bring a little joy and make us laugh more at ourselves or at the face of those little day-to-day dramas.”

We were also curious to know how Esther approaches the creative process of crafting a new comic. She replied: “Firstly, I dedicate time to thinking a lot and getting ideas from experiences or from what I see or think. When something occurs to me that I think is funny, I write it down on my mobile or in a notebook. Then I draw mini sketches that help me visualize those ideas as comics, and I don't stop until I have a 'visually powerful' schematic drawing with annotations. At that point, I draw the idea in pencil in much more detail on paper, and from there, I transfer it to the iPad to ink digitally.”

At this point, that's how the guy would see me most days anyway. If he doesn't think I'm cute as myself - in a baseball cap and a tank top and jeans or sweats w the makeup free face, he's not the guy for me.

Webcomics provide a unique platform for artists to reach a global audience. Therefore we asked Esther to tell us how the online community and feedback from her readers influenced her work and her growth as an illustrator.“The truth is that they influence the work a lot. For example, with their comments online they can inform the merchandise I decide to create, as even the stories I cover with my comics.

Over the years, you get to know your community (those who really value your work, especially those who have followed you from the beginning). Well, just by their reactions and interactions you end up knowing what they like, their favorite topics, what they don't like so much... In addition, they comment on each Instagram comic, and they give me their opinions and share their experiences with me, you get to know their background and be more connected to the audience directly. So in the end, almost unintentionally, they influence what you do a lot, because you want to make them happy and still have their support. Also, they have helped me improve many things over the years and to be aware of some bad ideas/comics, they have given me wise lessons, and that helps me grow as a person.

The different platforms influence how I present my comics visually. I began uploading to TikTok recently, and it’s very different. I think that creators like me need to adapt to the different social media platforms because similar to real-life experiences, the presentation influences everything too,” shared Esther.

And lastly, she added: Follow and support my work if you like it on Instagram or TikTok. Thank you.”

IIRC, Marilyn Monroe didn't actually only wear perfume to bed, she just came up with that answer because it would get publicity

Not everyone is cut out for a relationship. The people who are, put in far more effort to MAKE it work, and this effort comes at a cost to other areas of their lives. Whether this cost is worth it to you, determines if you are meant to be with others that way.

What really gets under my skin is when dads refer to being with their own kid without the mom around as "babysitting". If it's your own kid, you're not babysitting, you're just being a dad. Youre not getting paid, you shouldn't need a bunch of kudos to do the basics of dadding.

Yesterday a small flower fly flew into my eye and last week there was a spider in my glasses and I almost threw them in the nearest bush in horror. Before that, while yawning, some creature decided to fly straight down my throat. Unfortunately, during that coughing and dry heaving, I had eyewitnesses.

Most men don't care what underwear their partner is wearing, at least not the first time they're having sex with a woman. I'm not sure about women, since I have never asked that question of my female friends who date women.

I once read, "if her bra and panties match, sex wasn't your idea"

To be honest I wouldn't care. Love and partnership is way more than just looks.

Moment of truth - when guys are 'ready and willing' we see and hear what we want and just 'dive in'. The moment of clarity comes after the 'activity' where you see the world unfiltered, but by that point you should be snuggling and only see the top of your partner's head as she rests her head on your chest and you watch TV for 2 minutes before blacking out. Or maybe that's just me :)

Lol I'm 40, I wear high waisted "granny panties" cuz they cinch my waist slightly and don't leave a panty line. They're comfy af and I'll never go back to Victoria's Secret sexy panties. My fiance couldn't care less.

You're having sex... why would the clothes matter? 9/10 times they'll be horny enough without good lingerie

NGL, girl on the right is way hotter. She looks real, while overprepped girl on left seems unsustainably fake.

Let people enjoy things. If wearing pretty underwear and shaving makes her feel good, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm asexual, I don't even want to get laid, but I still like wearing cute underwear and having smooth legs/pits because it makes me feel feminine and pretty.

There is a middle ground. I never understood the ratty underwear deal. Its cheap, just toss the ratty stuff and have a drawer full of comfy clean undies. Frilly matching sets, baby doll stuff, ie.. what one may think your partner wants to see/be seen in seem pointless unless you like to actually wear it. There is something to be said for feeling beautiful and confident, if that's you, great. I personally find a soft T over a clean bottoms to be super comfy for me and nice to look at/cuddle with and eventually maybe slowly remove to be the the antidote for a long day. As far as shaving... eh.. ngl, prefer smooth, but the older i get, the less i shave my face, so i understand. At some point when I retire, i may go full David Letterman.

How like a man to assume women's underwear revolves around HIS preferences. To say nothing of the ignorance of assuming that pretty/sexy and comfortable are mutually inclusive, or the cost of such items, the upkeep of items that need to be handwashed....

This is why I always suggest certain beginner-friendly plants to new green thumbs; also, a good rule of (green) thumb is to water less than you think you need. You can always add more if it's not enough, but you can't really un-water a plant unless you repot it completely.
