I can't wrap my mind around this one. Why would someone say 'fake geek girl'? Why would someone want to fake that? What would they get out of it? It's because misogyny is RAMPANT in anything that is typically the realm of "geeks", whether it's comics, video games, science, math, or certain niche music genres. With the rise of social media showing that girls dressed like "sexy geeks" getting lots of followers and attention, the actual geek community automatically associates any good looking girl that looks like that as a fake and badger her to "prove" herself worthy of being included in their subculture. (I think the gatekeeping is also to make themselves feel better about the fact that they can't even get good looking GEEK girls to date them, while ignoring the fact that it's their attitude, social skills, and hygiene that are often what's preventing their success... Lots of crossover between nerd culture and neckbeard INCEL culture)

No you are not selfish or immature. And you are not alone. Isn't it great that women can choose whether to have children or not and still get married and follow their dreams?!

A few of our friends have kids, most have (finally) given up on asking us about kids. 1 didn't and they kept on bugging us about it every single time so one time my bf just blurted out "how about never and how about you stop asking", they gave up at that point :P I love my nieces and nephew but I don't want kids of my own. It doesn't make us immature or selfish, everyone has their own life and makes their own choices and decisions. Not everyone has the same dreams and lifegoals.

You should tell them you're getting sterilization done and see the looks on their faces. (did that once and they were shocked) Or you could just mess with them and say you can't have kids due to medical reasons, watch them fumble to apologize and then correct them afterwards and tell them that not everyone wants or even can have kids and it's not their business.
