I am a wedding photographer, based in Vancouver, BC. I was approached by Wellgroomed (Indian bridal clothing store) to do a photo shoot for their advertisement campaign in South Asian Bride Magazine. Universal Decor & Wellgroomed conceptualized this project, with a need to show how Disney themes can migrate into other ethnicity.
We collaborate with some of the best vendors in the wedding industry and started the shoot in May 2014. It took us couple of months to finish the project including the editing time.
As a photographer, most challenging thing was the shoot of Ariel, as this shot required lot of post-processing. I am overwhelmed by the response we got form this project. This couldn’t have been possible without my team.

I loved all of them except one. I was honestly disappointed by aurora she has blonde hair and and she is my fav Disney princess

So very pretty! I love this! The only thing I would do is add some purple to rapunzel but besides that, I love it! Would love to see an Elsa

Dude. These costumes are culturally offensive, mostly because of the inaccuracies of indian bridal wear. But also the romanticizing of India
