Dads Share 30 Times Their Daughters Used Them For Makeup Experiments And It’s Hilariously Wholesome
Being used as an art project might not be the ideal way to start a day or end one. But when kids get the urge to create a piece of art on your face, will you really be able to say no, especially when it’s your little girl having a go at makeup? One man shared the result of one such activity, motivating a parade of dads to come flooding in with their own experiences.
But beyond the hilarity of the somewhat Picassoesque creations lies the caption of the original post, stating “see this… this is why I wanted boys”, which some could take as a joke when it’s followed by a distraught reddened face. But I have an issue with it as it assumes that his boys wouldn’t be playing with makeup or having some creative time with their dad. Let’s look at some hilarious pictures and discuss the need for creativity, good relationships with dads, and the complexities of gender and makeup.

A subtle, but stunning look from a young artist who knows that sometimes less is more and coordinated, monochrome looks can be so powerful. Pink lips, eyeshadow, maybe some blush I spy? And the pink and white nails are a nice touch! Technical execution still needs work, but we applaud the creativity! 7/10

Excellent work by the costume designer, 10/10 for her. As for the model, true beauty and unicorness come from within. You’ve got to WORK IT, darling! Fake it till you make it! Find that inner unicorn and NEIGH like the majestic, magical beast you are!

Seems like a fair amount of these fine fathers are being taken advantage of whilst napping. 😂. And maybe that's the secret - do it when they're too tired to protest!

An abstract pastel couture look worthy of the catwalk or even a special event for the artistic wave-maker. We love incorporating the hair and beard as well! That bright yellow eyeshadow really pops, and the yellow on the nose, invoking tribal face paint really brings something raw, natural, and primitive to what could otherwise be an odd choice for the facial feature. The darkness on the forehead balances rather than distracts. We have a true artiste! 10/10

Adorable work from an up and coming face painter! Placement is good, color palette is a not too limited or too busy, it’s clearly a bunny, and a cute one too! Looking forward to what this one will do in the future! 8/10
