As much as I find it satisfying to read stories like this, please don't feel like you have to invite toxic, horrible people to your milestones just because they are related to you. You really don't have to! A lot of people will understand perfectly where you're coming from and not judge you! A real family is being there for each other, sometimes the people in it are related and sometimes they are not.
