Woman Dresses Like Celebs To Show That You Don’t Have To Be Skinny To Look Good (29 New Pics)

Looking stylish lies at the classy intersection of good taste and unwavering confidence in yourself. And it's really the latter that's the more important of the two. That's one of the things that the founder of the Megababe beauty brand and body acceptance advocate Katie Sturino wants to show the world.
The New Yorker dresses up just like celebrities and proves that you don't have to be runway model-skinny to look so darn good, you set the internet on fire. "I’ve been able to really connect directly with my followers in a new way through Stories. I am sharing my personal beliefs more. I’m definitely not shooting as much 'street style' content," Sturino told Bored Panda how the pandemic had affected her projects. Her outfit looks better than Katie’s. Her top is better and her jeans aren’t corny.
Sturino launched her Squeaky Clean Hand Sanitizer via Megababe back in January 2020 because, in her own words, she wanted to create something that killed germs but didn't crack your hands.
"By March, the product sold out twice and the waitlist reached 15,000, but we were able to speed up our production to launch a bigger size as well as restock. We also launched the #MegababeCares initiative. We asked healthcare workers what would help most with long shifts, and sent anti-sweat, chafe, and odor products to provide comfort to these healthcare heroes. At the end of December, we launched our Squeaky Clean Sanitizing Wipes."
What's more, Sturino has continued with the Make My Size series. "It has been interesting to see how the media has covered weight gain and loss in quarantine. I always share that this is not news!" she said. Sturino added that she loves collaborating with Stich Fix and "their commitment to helping every woman find her personal style."

Sturino also had a straightforward but fundamental tip for anyone who's struggling with their self-confidence or is worried about their style right now: "I always say, put your confidence on first!"
She aims to empower women of all sizes, make them more confident, help them celebrate their style, and to raise awareness of size inclusivity. Her Instagram page already has over half a million followers who are raring to get her newest updates, looks, and insights about the beauty and fashion industry.

The New Yorker also runs her own weekly podcast called Boob Sweat which, like you could've probably guessed from the no-nonsense name, tackles taboo topics. From divorce to dating in your 30s and more.
Back in June 2020, Bored Panda spoke to Sturino about her campaigns, movements, and her plans for all of them. “Though size inclusivity in the fashion industry has made a lot of progress in the past few years, it is clear that there are still some brands that will never extend their range. We have a long way to go,” the activist told Bored Panda.
She explained that she, like many other women, feels frustrated when she can't find any fashionable clothes in her size while out shopping. “And I'm a blogger! In NYC!”

The jacket on the right isn’t form fitting enough and the lapels are tooooo big. Her shoes are cuter than Kendall’s though.
Fortunately, she's been able to make some changes to the industry, having partnered up with Veronica Beard and Diane Von Furstenberg, whose pieces she described to us as “fashionable and inclusive for all women.”
What's more, Sturino collaborates with Stitch Fix which she said was a “total ‘pinch me' moment.” With how many different projects Sturino works on, we sometimes wonder when she finds the time to get her beauty sleep.

First of all everything looks like she pulled it out of her dogs mouth. Iron / steam those clothes at the least. Second buy a size up being a stuffed dove is not cute. Third this is just a slap in the face of woman like mindy who has hard time loosing weight but does her best. And again there are clothes and shapes of clothes that suit different body types.smh

LOl "stuffed dove". I'm a size S small woman but sometimes i buy size M ou even L tops or shirts, depending of the shape of the clothes. Looking squeezed in an outfit is far from classy. The reason most of the celebs looked good was because they chose clothes that were flattering to their size/shape and the clothes were ironed. She looks untidy with ill fitting clothes in most of these and therefore her message didn't translate well. Also the material of her clothes looks cheaper and the not ironing thing made it look even worse.

I read in some magazine (InStyle? Vogue?, IDK) that not only do celebs have stylists, but most of their "photogenic" clothes are custom tailored so they fit well. Almost nothing is just off the rack.

a recent study showed that over 90% of models are *underweight*. Being underweight is just as bad for your health as being overweight (but for different reasons). It weakens your immune system, weakens your bones, mental development issues... etc. Being clinically obese is worse than underweight and overweight, so we certainly don't want to promote that. The problem is that so many of the images we see are either underweight models, or obese people saying "I deserve to look pretty too!". We never see the two categories in-between.

Some of them were spot on and others it’s like she missed the point of the outfit and just got the cheapest fake recreation, without understanding why it looked good on the first person. Overall as a lover of fashion, I think it’s cool to get inspiration from specific people you like, and even to copy exact outfits, but you have to understand why it looks good in order to copy it! Mindy Kaling and Kate Middleton have awful style though, so jeez, what people to copy from!

All the clothes looked either frumpy or pulled from a trash can. I saw no style, no class, nothing that remotely looked like someone who cared about their appearance. Kate Middleton got closest to Diana's sense of style. But for the most part, frump seems to be the go to position.

No, she isn't skinny. Few people are. But she is beautiful and does have a great figure. Skinny shouldn't be our objective. If your weight is in a healthy range then it shouldn't be an issue. Some women are naturally thin, and that's fine. If you are not naturally thin you shouldn't be aiming for it. Over the past few years I've come to realise that this is a rod women have made for their own backs. Men aren't ogling skinny women for it to lead to this being the 'chosen' body image of women. Instead it's the media by women for women that is the betrayal. I started REALLY paying attention to this when my daughter was old enough to pay attention to these things and start to have her own hang-ups. So much I'd never questioned before suddenly came into focus. we have to stop allowing this to be done to our children

Teaching people to love the body they’re in isn’t promoting obesity or an unhealthy lifestyle. It means letting people know that life doesn’t begin when you’re thin, that people of all weights and sizes can live a happy, fulfilling life, and that people don’t have to hate themselves or the way they look simply because they’re heavier.

You are right. But choose your clothes well for your body and your size. You can be beautiful, but choose to iron your clothes, buy quality, and use fabrics which are beautiful on your body. She does not teach anything.She looks like wearing another girls ill fitting, ill ironed cheap clothes, which is a shame. A smaller girl can use very thin fabrics, if you are bigger or normal size you might have a little roll here and there and need more heavier fabrics, cause they fall more nicely over your rolls. Its not about fat, its what to do with your body. She would be veautiful like the stars if she tells through clothing about herself, instead of copying others.

I think people should really stop shaming her about the clothes not matching and not looking good in them or they are to tight I feel like she did this to try and get people to have more confidence to show people you don't have to be skinny and it's kinda sad that people are saying she didn't look good or the clothes weren't ironed she is trying to raise peoples self esteem and people are just tearing her confidence down.

This article and this lady are missing the point. There's nothing wrong in admitting different/cuts and shapes other than what Katie Holmes wears is more flattering for your body type, if you're trying to achieve a flattering look. Also attention to detail is everything. Celebrities have specific clothes with specific details, not to mention the quality of the clothes. It's not about matching the same colours.

She looked good in all the photos, and it was great that she felt comfortable in herself, but fat is not good. Being obese can kill you, or make you more vulnerable to COVID. Be comfortable in what you look like, but try and stay an average size.

First the bigger women can change by eating less. Also stop eating sugar foods like cookies, donuts, ice cream and sodas. Next people should stop lying to them by telling them they look great. No one likes to look at obesity. I've noticed mainly women say the overweight people look good so they won't hurt their feelings. Skinny isn't attractive either. Over weight women stay away from the tights/leggings whatever you want to call them. It's an eyesore. Then there's the real problem with weight. Health issues like diabetes, heart, shortness of breath etc. It's a no win situation. A lot of you will think this is rude but not only it's the truth but people need to be given the facts and stop sugar coating things. They can change their health and weight.

Not with eating or not eating. Heal your soul, your body will follow. Carbohydrates are like drugs. They make us feel good. If you eat less carbs, you might feel lije you are on a withdrawal. Then you might start to feel your deepwr issues. Its hard, but its worth it. You do not need your fat as much if you have dealt with everything in your soul needing an armour.

How old is she though? She could be 25 or 45. Some people are out here looking much older than they are. Anyway, it’s not her age. She could be 60 and pull it off if she were pulling it off. She doesn’t come across as fashionable. Age doesn’t dictate that.
