Hilarious Photos Of Cat Falling In Love With A Heater During Cold Weather Will Make Your Day
It’s been pretty cold lately! With record-breaking low temperatures across much of the Northern Hemisphere, everyone is finding ways to keep warm and cozy from the freeze outside.
Japan is no different, with heavy snow in Tokyo bringing snowmen out on to the streets recently, and it’s not just the people who are feeling chilly! This is Busao the cat, and he just loves his heater. “Japan is so cold right now! All he wants is to warm up more,” Busao’s owner Ryuji Tan told Bored Panda.
To be honest, we think that perhaps he loves it just a little bit too much. In some of his pics, he seems to be almost worshiping the lamp as some kind of divine source of life, and we are pretty sure he has lost quite a few whiskers by flying too close to the sun!
Ryuji Tan adopted Busao from the streets of Ibaraki, where he lives. “Busao was originally a stray cat, he told Bored Panda. “I think that he is about 9 years old.” He regularly posts pictures of his beloved cat on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, so you can follow him there along with thousands of other Busao fans, he is popular in Japan and is starting to become known around the world too!
Oblivious to his fame, Busao’s contented look suggests that he will be spending the whole winter in exactly the same place. Cozy and warm right next to his beloved heater. If only we could do the same…

This cat is my spirit animal. I literally have a heater next to me at all times. Im cold all the time.

My cat has his own little radiant heater. You can't bask in front of central air or a heat pump unit! I haul it out in winter and he asks for it to be turned on by backing his butt up to it and yowling until someone obliges. He's an old man now, and you have to have warm bones when you're an old man!

Our beloved kitty, Beamish, used to sleep with her face sticking in our oil space heater. She passed away last Valentine's day and I really missed her this winter!! This kitty made me think of her!!

I work in Japan and that's actually how we heat our office space, with slightly bigger versions of those. Central heating is not a thing around here. My Japanese colleagues stand around the kerosene heaters to warm up and they effectively become the "water cooler" spot during the winter months. They're a big draw to felines and humans alike.

In time it will become easier to remember the good times. It is an act of courage: we know our pets will most likely die much earlier than us. But we still do invite them into our homes and love them as much as we can. And they give us so much pleasure and love.

Here in my part of Australia it was 45 Celsius yesterday, only 42 today. Can't wait for the famous Game Of Thrones saying: "Winter is coming."

Some of my family lives where it's about -25 right now...but it's beautiful... you just don't talk a lot outdoors coz your teeth can crack...

Many of the more traditional houses in Japan don't have central heating, so there might be more significance in this kitty's worship than it appears. That said, even my own cat worshiped my space heater. She was a little heater hog! Blocked the best heat from it, so I didn't get as much out of it. XD

He gets so close it I do not know why he is not permanently singed. at least he knows now what it is like to a have a warm and cozy home especially in winter. he is lovely.

When I was a kid my mom bought a wood burning furnace insert. Our house was 900 square feet and the furnace was rated for 2500 square feet. Our cats loved this thing. they'd be casually walking by , get in front of it and just immediately plop down. Not just this ahhh that's warm I think I'll lay down. No this was BAM shot with a heat ray insta-nap. Some time later when they got too hot they'd drag themselves away in a drunken stupor.

A cat and a heater can never be parted - even when it is hot they will avoid a fan but still flop down in front of a heater - its worth the cost to give them such joy! This cat looks like it is ready to propose...xx

Oh great Source of heat and comfort, I am but a lowly cat worshipping at your feet. The cold is all around me; never let your light and heat go out (until spring, when I must again be out and about my catly duties. but until then...)

How are you offended? The cat is adorable and cute, but he is also obese and not in a healthy shape. It's just a plain fact, and I think it should be noted. Overweight cats like that will die years earlier than if in normal shape. Real sad, because he sure is a cutiepie
