Artist Illustrates Dogs Reporting On Events Important In Daily Pup World In Her 14 Comics

"For the past couple of years, I've made comics centered around dogs," McKay told Bored Panda. "I like to take their stereotypical antics and mix them with various situations, like having a dog news program or a dog president. The latest of which is a Dungeons and Dragons inspired series with a dog adventuring guild. I aim to make comics that are cute, funny, and wholesome!"

The artist has always been a fan of news parodies, and has a weakness for dogs in costumes. A few years ago, McKay stumbled upon some pictures of a Shiba Inu dressed as a news anchor and loved them so much, she started to imagine what an actual newscast run by dogs would be like. "They'd probably discuss things like vacuums, rain, and other things that concern the pup population," she thought to herself. Eventually, her imagination made its way onto the canvas and she created a few comics which she later added to her "Dogs with Jobs" project. "That's how Bork Report was born!"

The star of the show is Spot (short for Spotlight). "He loves attention!" McKay said. "He's Bork Report's main news anchor and takes his job very seriously. He also has a flair for the dramatic."

Another important piece of the crew is Bella. She's one of Bork Report's main reporters. Like a true professional, Bella is willing to tackle any story no matter how scary it may be.

There are more recurring characters who make brief appearances, including Rufus the weather dog and a dog cop named Sergeant Barkley.

The series comes together perfectly. Juggling the ordinary and the extraordinary, McKay does an excellent job of portraying the true nature of dogs. No wonder! She has two of her own. "They're siblings named Eliza and Hercules," the artist introduced her pups. "Eliza is a bit of an evil mastermind who isn't big on cuddles but likes to follow me around like a shadow. Hercules is very clumsy and clueless, but he's also a happy and loving dog. I get a lot of inspiration for comic ideas from watching them."
