5 Y.O. Gets Told Star Wars Is Not For Girls, Her Mom Asks Twitter, Mark Hamill Gives A Witty Response
Even though it might seem the idea that some things are purely masculine or feminine should be considered quite outdated in the 21st century, apparently not everyone has this same opinion. Furthermore, the ones claiming otherwise are, surprisingly, the youngest members of our society. Take this little boy, for example, who told his 5-year-old classmate that Star Wars is for boys only, after seeing her wearing Star-Wars-themed shoes that she picked out herself. Luckily, Mark Hamill himself had the best answer – Star Wars is for everyone!

I spent 2 1/2 hours in line in Seattle for the original Star Wars opening. I went to each consecutive Star Wars movie on opening weekend. I own every Star Wars movie and bought a full size Boba Fett helmet for $60. I married a man who was totally into Star Wars too. But nah...Star Wars is just for boys...NOT!!!
The helmet I bought being worn by my neighbors grandson... boba-noni-...9a4959.jpg
Star Wars is for everybody, so is Frozen. This gender-stereotyping s**t HAS TO END!!!!
Well, five-year old said Star Wars are for boys, but who said that to five year old?
Remember, this argument was between 5-year olds. That's the age to have the girls vs boys argument. But if you're still having this argument after you're 5, you need to grow the f**k up.
I love the original trilogy and I am a woman. People need to stop teaching these gender rules to their children because all they do is cause problems. On another note, I also like fairy tales. I bring this up because a lot of people don't want their children reading them anymore.
"My daughter Khaleesi"... lol, a child named after a mass murderer...
I believe that was before the...interesting GoT ending.
Load More Replies...I am 34 years old and I am going to South Carolina Comic Con in March dressed as Darth Sidious. I am a late bloomer and JUST got into Star Wars. I LOVE it will every fiber in my being.
I would love to go to America and attend a comic con!! I don't know if I could choose a favourite to be, I'd have to be either ash Ketchum or sakura star lol
Load More Replies...IMH this is a 5 year old kid... no need to get upset for his opinion, you only have to explain things at his level, and he will understand. It's at this age that grownups can make a difference and grow nice people. It's what I do with my two kids. Explain everything.
AGREED! This is a non-story. Kids just say stuff... sometimes just to be jerks because they are still learning how to be people.
