It appears that the guy in the photos is Travis, who has been battling drug addiction and celebrated being sober from opiates and benzodiazepines for over two years with a post on Twitter. After learning about his story going viral, he later joined the discussion on Reddit to share more about his journey.
“Hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Stayed in rehab for over a year and a half because I couldn’t trust myself.”

These drastic before-and-after images speak louder than words, and if they can help at least one person in desperate need of motivation and support—keep them coming!

This is so wonderful! I'm only on day 45 but already feeling so much healthier both mentally and physically! It's never, never too late to back your life. If you need help, there is no shame in reaching out to friends, family, or even strangers online! :)
All the best I wish you, for the best is yet to come my stranger/ friend 🌺❣👍👍👍👍
Thank you Belle! :)
Good Work! I wish you the best on your new journey!
Thanks so much! :)
As someone who has lost more than one person to addiction, this makes me SO happy to read. Day 45 is a huge accomplishment, what do you mean "only" on day 45! I'm so proud of you. I wish you health, happiness and an abundance of love.
Thanks so much for the support Shamiran! Very best wishes to you too! Thank you!
I hope those 45 days become 4,500 and beyond. Keep up the hard work. Nothing good was ever easy.
Thank you Lola! That's absolutely true!
Keep going. Every day that you are clean is a blessing.
Keep at it I swear it gets so much better I won't lie you will have many bad moments on the way to full recovery but one day you will wake up feeling a way you haven't in years I am not ashamed to say when that day came for me I broke down and sobbed out of happiness and remorse for lost time the important thing is to not waste another second on that bullshit sending so many good vibes your way
We're almost twins! Way to go. One foot in front of the other a day at a time.
183 days now! wasn't really wired bad but fell off the wagon for 6 months last year, after over 8 years clean from Opiates. Just goes to show that you can NEVER let your guard down and you're NEVER fully over anything, those little monsters are always waiting to come out, it's a life long battle to keep them inside. Keep up the hard work everyone who's in this battle!
Good for you for getting back on the wagon after you fell off. That takes courage!
Thanks Elizabeth! Stay safe!
they all looks great, happiness is in the eyes :)
