UPDATE: pillow pet has now officially been shredded (may Dino Rest In Peace) and Sparrow now has a large Giraffe toy of which she enjoys grabbing by the neck and showing off around the house. Pretty lumpy, but naps have been managed 👍.

Mathias. Just read your comment here and past comments. Correct me if I’m wrong but to me it sounds like you feel the need to correct us all on a personal level. From your perspective you might call it “advice” but whatever it is- it’s unnecessarily opinionated for someone who is not a woman. You ask for “scientific proof” as your defense. This is a defensive/protective maneuver shown in several debates. However, it is a weak one. If you would like to personally reply to me and correct me because you feel protective of your so-very-strongly “aristocratic” ideas. To put it simply: We don’t ****ing want your advice. Good lord. The comments with the most likes are the ones about “My kid will eat what their given” “only American families feed their kids trash”. There is absolutely no reason we should be arguing and stereotyping people about this. Nobody has to raise their kids YOUR WAY. There are several different very affective versions of parenting. Just because some families don’t have the time to prepare every meal at home, and emotionally convince their crying child to eat what their given doesn’t mean their bad parents.

Ok: thank you everyone for your advice. HOWEVER. It’s not a dominance problem. Yes, we are aware that she’s teething, that’s she’s super smart and likes to learn, we do take into account Cesar Milan’s advice, and we do use a deep voice when telling her “no” and has been recently trained to “leave it”. I should have said this beforehand. I guess it’s just a puppy thing.

Wait. You too? My mom packed me a ton for lunch, and wasn’t too pleased when I fell in love with all things exercise. Btw I use to be skin and bones as a kid, really tiny and skinny. Turns out the solution wasn’t “eat as much as you can” it was eat healthy. Kinda. But mostly exercise. I’m really strong now, and instead of filling myself up with foods that could lead to fat gain, I did swimming, Pilates yoga, tennis, ballet, basketball, and lots of running and soccer. I gained weight in muscle, and my mom was more than ok with that.

Animals are just so perfect. I used to feel kinda meh- and lead a stressed life- but then I got a puppy and I feel like a part of me is complete. I also used to be a horrible NOT MORNING PERSON. Character change: I wake up happy and energetic everyday at 5:00 am to go on a 2 mile run with Sparrow, my dog.
