I Spent Hours In Different Zoos To Get Just The Right Shots

My name is Anna Lena and I am a 23 year old animal photographer based in Austria.

As a kid I always loved to go to the zoo and watch all the exotic animals.

Nothing changed over the years except my way of looking at the keeping of those animals. When I was younger I did not notice a too small enclosure or bored creature.

So nowadays I try to be well aware of the conditions a zoo, its enclosures and animals are in before I visit it.

I also discovered my love for photography…

In this collection you will find pictures taken in the oldest zoo on earth. It is located in Vienna and its name is Schönbrunn. Also there are shots taken in the Zoo of Prague, CZ and the breathtaking Zoo of Hellbrunn, AT.

To get those pictures I spent hours in the different zoo’s for the “perfect” shots. I even visited the austrian ones multiple times.

To get a good shot of animals that you can’t control at all is really time-consuming and you need to have lots of patience. This is my way to relax.
