“Get Out Of The Bar”: Intense Confrontation With Parent-Shaming Woman Goes Viral
Oh, to be a parent-shaming Karen shouting swear words in front of a baby… A heated altercation at a bar-restaurant was captured in a viral video, exposing an intoxicated woman confronting a mother for having her baby present. Fortunately, bystanders jumped to her defense.
A person shared a couple of videos of what appeared to be a drunk bar-goer calling out a mom for having her baby in proximity to the alcoholic beverage-serving area.
Two videos posted on TikTok, which have gone viral, with one amassing over 8 million views, showcased a woman visibly overstepping her boundaries.
The angered customer, who has quickly been dubbed a “Karen,” was filmed looming over the stunned mom in the establishment, which was swiftly clarified to be a restaurant with a bar section, as opposed to just a bar.

In the USA, many bars forbid the presence of children, even those accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
“You’re an idiot … you’re an idiot. F***** get out of the bar. Get your f****** kid out of the bar,” the agitated lady was filmed repeating.
She went on to assume that the mother, or a member of the mother’s group of friends, was named “Jamie,” to which the victim responded that it wasn’t her name.

After repeating slurs (in front of the baby) and ordering the mom and her friends to leave the bar, bystanders were finally seen jumping to her rescue, with a separate woman appearing from the back and telling the loud disturber that she needed to “leave.”
“I’m gonna call the police,” the customer said before adding: “You’re bothering them.”
A man followed the woman’s lead and also told the ill-mannered lady that she should stop and leave the group with the baby alone.

Another video highlighted the moment right before the agitator verbally harassed the mother. In the video, the group, which included the mom and her baby, looked like they were trying to pay and leave the establishment.
All of them were seen being seated when, suddenly, the instigator looked disgustingly at the child before going in with multiple “idiot comments.”
Later, when the situation had escalated, one of the bystanders told the obnoxious woman: “You’re drunk…leave! You’re drunk.”

Consequently, a bartender was seen stepping in to help usher the trouble-monger a little bit away from the group.
If you have internet access and enjoy using social media, chances are you are familiar with the term “Karen.”
For those who don’t know, a Karen is slang referring to a middle-class white woman who is perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal.
To give an example, Karens are often associated with the kind of person who demands to “speak to the manager” to belittle the service industry.
The video ignited outrage on social media

I realize that I will probably receive a ton of downvotes, but if this type of article isn't for you, just don't read it. I mean, that's what the little teaser is all about. What makes BP good, is that there are a wide array of articles for different tastes
Yeah I don't know why certain people have to post complaints on every one of these. It's not your thing, we get it. Move on. Besides, you really think BP cares? We still get shopping articles all the time despite them being down voted into oblivion.

Stupid...our store has a bar and restaurant combo that caters to families of any kind. There is seating A the bar behind a partial partition for those who wanna concentrate on the games without kids close at hand.
When I was 8, my parents and I drove from Maryland to California and back that summer as our vacation. We visited Las Vegas on our way west. After eating in one of the well known hotel-casinos (not being interested enough to make note of the casino name—-because I was a normal 8 year old kid who was bored stiff and hotel-casinos didn’t have children’s activities back then—-I can’t remember which one it was, and my parents have both passed on so there’s nobody I can ask), my parents wanted to play the slot machines for a few minutes, just for fun, and no they weren’t gamblers, they just wanted the experience. Of course, the management would not let a minor, namely 8 year old me, walk into the casino area with them, but my parents still wanted to keep an eye on me. Guess where I sat while my parents were in the casino? At the BAR that was right next to, and within full sight, of it—-and absolutely no one even batted an eyelash at the thought of a child sitting on a barstool right at the bar. It wasn’t busy that day and the bartender was nice. He kept me entertained and gave me as many peanuts and Shirley Temples as I wanted until my parents came back (they ended up being gone for an hour, because my mother started winning at a slot machine). BTW, that was the summer of 1968, and I remember they were advertising the opening of a brand new casino, later that year, that was going to be radically different from the rest of them. That casino was Circus Circus, which I understand has now gone downhill as well as become passé. I guess that happens after 50 years. After I became an adult, I learned the mafia was still running the casinos in 1968, meaning any of the employees there could’ve been connected in that direction (so to speak) including that bartender, which gave an interesting yet also kind of chilling twist to my good memory of the place. I could’ve been an 8 year old kid sitting in the same restaurant/bar as who knows what infamous mafioso, and maybe even being given peanuts nd Shirley Temples by one of their relatives or off duty/future/wannabe associates.
My parents like to drink I grew up in bars, I don’t see what the big deal is. Kids aren’t allowed to drink alcohol, so as long as nobody be serving them, alcohol people need to get the sticks out of their asses.
My dad would get us Kiddy Cocktails, aka Shirley Temples. My parents taught us how to behave in public and if we didn't behave we would leave. So we'd behave and would have a good time!

Maybe it's because in the US they don't know how to drink and the goal is to get drunk and set a bad example for kids. In other countries there are no such problems and unless it is a nightclub, there is no problem with children coming in because in other countries they serve more than just high proof alcohol.
I agree with you, it is very common here in France to have the combo bar/restaurant. We have not built our education on prohibition, thus alcohol can and in most cases be enjoyed responsibly. As a big wine producing country, tasting wine is part of the experience growing up, without turning most of us into adults with a problematic relationship to alcohol. Any kind of abuse is problematic, and guilt and prohibition are big factors in uncontrolled substance abuse, whichever they are. Drink in moderation, or don't drink to stay healthy.
