At a certain point, death comes for all of us. And whether or not we've had the time to make our last wish, we must leave our bodies and everything they're a part of. To make these goodbyes easier for everyone, people are organizing truly heartwarming send-offs. Bored Panda has collected some of the most touching funerals, and they will send shivers down your spine.

From small and personal gatherings to huge public rallies, these ceremonies were everything the deceased would have wanted. But as much as we can honor a person postmortem, it will never come close to what a live interaction can offer them. So, after you scroll down and enjoy our list, pick up a phone and make that call you've been putting away for a while. 'Later' might become too late.

My aunt's dog refused to eat for three whole days after she died, and we had to make her listen to a recording we had of our aunt's voice to make her eat again...

My dog, Dixie, was born in my house and took her first breath in my hands. She is so attached to me that I've learned to take better care of myself for fear of dying before her. I know that if that happens, she'll let herself go and die from a broken heart. She's now almost 14 years old and from the look of things, I'll be the broken hearted one in the end... But I'll have to keep going on, for I'll have a little human being depending on me in a short few months... Now, I hope Dixie will live long enough to meet him / her...

Oh this one made me so sad. I have a 4 year old, I don't know what I would do if I ever lost him. I know death is a part of life, but it makes no sense to me why a parent should bury their child. I know the pain of losing a parent, the loss of a child I imagine to be 10 times more heart breaking. I pray that I never get to bury my children.

He'll be only 4 years old this April first. I love him so! And this post and photo just make my heart jerk around a lot... gotta find the Kleenex box now. Love your dogs, like the photo says!

The last thing my bro did before he committed suicide was to have flowers delivered to me. The card read "May the flowers reflect the beauty inside of you". We both loved snorkeling so we took his ashes 7 kilometers out to see. Just before I dove down with him we saw something fluttering across the sea from way out in the Indian Ocean, it was a Monarch butterfly. It flew straight towards me, landed on the box of ashes and then flew up onto the tip of my nose before heading straight up to the heavens. Ever since whenever I see one I think he is nearby....

I don't get it. I had no idea who where those Wesboro a******s, and now that I read about them... I still don't get it. I don't get that some people can have so much energy to waste that they chose "religion" to hate people (isn't that supposed to be about love???). I don't get that some people chose to toss their hate to mourning people. And amoung all the inappropriat funeralsto show up, kid funeral.??? really?? No words.

They tend to just be hateful people I stopped reading about all the awful things they picket simply because I don't have it in me to not hate them with every fiber of my being and the saddest part is that they are so hate filled and angry at everything and they have nothing else to do so they choose to go after children and minorities and pretty much anything that doesn't fit into their tiny little views of what is right. If I could I would personally go up to each and every Westboro member and b***h slap them

But why would they want to protest this little girl's funeral? Not like Westboro people have any valid reasons at all for protesting against anything. But this? Are they angry at the little girl for dying in such a brutal horrible way? I just don't get it

When my beloved dog Samba died we had him cremated. We brought him home and we buried him in the garden. We planted a tree and either side of the tree a rose bush. The rose bushes and tree are the last to loose their leaves and flowers in the winter and again the first to gain them back again in the spring. This year has been the worst winter we have had for years and a single red rose remained on its bush over Samba's grave throughout the whole winter. A beautiful reminder from a wonderful beautiful friend that's he maybe gone but his spirit will always be here.

This one really gets me. I lost my cat in 2013 but I didn't get to keep her ashes. We couldn't afford it. And we couldn't bury her in our yard because we don't have a fence. I couldn't stand the thought of a stray dog or something digging her up. I got her pawprints though and some of her fur.

In my country they would just close this day in order all mates could go to the funeral. We put a little note saying "close because of funeral" and everybody understand. Not only in the case of the boss bat whoever, even when it's someone of their family, in not big busyness. It's life, care and common humanity. those bikers are part of a group called The Patriot Guard , their resposne when WBC started picketing military and other funerals (mainly to get a response that would allow them to sue someone), was to pledge to show up for these funerals line the route , turn their backs to the protesters and ignore them. It was so successful there hasn't been a Wbc incident in years.

Google Westboro Baptist Church, and then feel very, very sad that there are people sick enough to twist their religion around to hate, harass and disrespect others, especially when they are grieving. (Yeah, I know, a lot of groups around the world are also demented and using religion to spread hate and violence). Then watch some kitten videos.

Apparently they are religious bigots who originally picketed soldiers funerals( claiming they died because" God hates gays", ik it makes no sense). These days they just picket random events to be jerks cause when they get kicked out, they sue over freedom of speech. I sincerely wish God would strike them dead.

Firefighters are the most amazing human beings ever. I have a dear nephew who once confided to some of the catastrophic stuff that happens. Falling through floors, electrocution sustaining smoke inhalation that affects the lungs, sometimes for life etc. etc. They earn every dollar they make.

The pipes always make me cry (Celtic Warrior Princess). I went to the funeral of my sisters fiance's Father to be supportive. It was a military service, rifle volley, etc. But then the piper starting playing "Amazing Grace". I wasn't bawling, by any means, just standing there with tears streaming down my face. It's honestly one of the best photos ever taken of me.

@Michelle It's probably illegal to 'do' such a funeral on public lands or waterways, but if they knew someone with a large pond or a small lake on their private land I'm sure they could do it that way.

Funerals can be held every where and any where property owners will allow. I've done funerals at bowling alleys, ice rinks, parks, ponds, dance clubs, and yes, at hole 12 at a golf course... not everyone is properly served by being in a church or a funeral home.

This is the way we should all be doing it to much land is wasted with graveyards...such a silly idea anyway...lets dig a hole, stick the dead body in there so it will rot, then pretend the person is in thr hole and come back and keep paying homage to that person for ever at the place of the rotting body....makes perfect sense to me.....NOT! If you want to pay homage just talk to them....they are every where.....just like your god!
