65 Memes That Might Feel Nostalgic If Your Favorite Decade Is The ‘90s (New Pics)
How do you know that your childhood is truly over and you’re getting old? When the things you grew up with start making the rounds on “nostalgia” pages on social media. At least that’s how I learned that I’m not young anymore. Pokémon, Tamagotchi, and It, starring Tim Curry, became things today’s youth knew nothing about — something intriguing and exotic, or, simply put, things from the ‘90s.
Bored Panda has prepared a list of more nostalgic things from the best decade of them all — the 1990s, this time from the wildly popular IG page “90s.era.nostalgia.” Scroll through them and get lost in the delightful waves of nostalgia as you reminisce about biking around the neighborhood, watching Home Alone on Christmas, and your questionable fashion choices.

Just because you might have had a computer at home, it didn't mean you had internet
Sir Christopher Lee, but that's the only one I know that can rival Wishbone.
Still can's wrap a decent Christmas present to save my life... but give me a paper bag and a book and I'm a wrapping wizard
Yes! My maths teacher Mr Humphreys used to sand like that at someone’s desk and his b**t got right in the face of whoever was at the next desk.
And there was always that kid who would put his mouth over the whole spout
Now working as a citrus and cattle farmer and creates bronze sculptures in Southern California. Got cited (not arrested) locally for a solicitation charge. I'm truly sorry he couldn't just find a girlfriend. Hope he has one now.
As a Maryland kid we were absolutely giddy about this movie because we never saw MD in any movie EVER growing up.
I remember this episode: they're at a huge party for their grandfather's (Christopher Lloyd) birthday. We the audience learn that Hal's family is actually filthy rich, and the boys spend the whole time ducking up to older relatives; we also learn that Hal's family looks down on Lois, and they spend the whole episode tresting her like dirt -- the same way she treats Francis' wife. We've been conditioned to expect Lois is finally gonna blow up on everyone and take them all down a peg. But instead, she hits her breaking point and retreats to her room to cry. The boys are stunned, and decide to ruin their chances of getting into someone's will to avenge their mother by trashing the party with a golf cart
I taught my little sister to say "fries". When we were driving close to a Macdonald's I would whisper "fries, fries" in her ear and she would say "Fries" out loud. My parents thought she associated the Macdonald's logo with fries and found it adorable and took us to the drive thru.
Im a teacher. .I completely understand. Kids are the biggest bullies!!
Pokemon professors gave 10 year olds pokeballs and a pokedex that could have easily come pre-filled out so the kid would go out and explore the world so they could sleep with their single moms. "It was hard losing my daughters and their brother, as hard as the wood that Oak gave your mother." Epic Rap Battles of History - Charles Darwin vs Ask Ketchum
It still exists. It's owned by brothers Chris and Tim Vanderhook. It functions mainly as an archive and music/entertainment news hub, rather than the social network it once was. The Vanderhooks have a revival plan: they want to build an alternative to modern social media. The new version aims to avoid heavy algorithms and endless doom-scrolling. No launch date has been announced.
Brave Little Toaster. Ugh still gets me. Don't get me started on Water ship Down or Neverending Story
I loved these as a kid. I even had a little battle arena that I would take to school sometimes. They made a resurgence a few years back with a new cartoon and my nephew briefly got into them, but man were the new ones horrible. The old ones came on like those little plastic grids where you had to twist the pieces to get them out, and then attach to a base, and the objective was similar to regular games of tops where whoever stopped spinning first or was knocked out of the play area lost. Sometimes pieces would deliberately detach as part of a battle strategy (certain tops had detachable pieces, but for the most part they were very sturdy and stayed in one piece). The new ones came as 3 pieces of light, cheap quality plastic that you attached together rather flimsily, and the objective of the game was changed to the loser being the one whose top "exploded" first. A bug turned into a feature. And don't even get me started on the new ripcords.
X-Box (Microsoft) would be the fire nation, buying up (taking over) as much as they can. Dreamcast would the the Air Nation (No longer around), Playstation would be the Earth Kingdom (went evil in Legend of Korra - getting rid of physical media), making Nintendo the Water Nation
I keep having to remind myself that I walk the fine line between Gen X and Millennials. 1980, man. What of us? WHAT OF US???
We're Gen X by upbringing; very little if anything in common with millennials. If you were of legal age to vote by 2000, you're not a millennial, you're one of us.
Load More Replies...i'm not old to grow up in that era, just got extra crunchy knees lol! (And seriously, what means UNC? i didn't find anything about it)
