You Won’t Believe That These Underwater Snorkel Photos Were Taken With An Iphone…

My name is Daniel Hall and I sell products on Amazon. Recently I got the idea to develop a waterproof smartphone case and also include free underwater photography tutorials that would show folks how to use the great cameras in their smartphones to get amazing underwater photos. Essentially the plan was to see if we could convert our iPhones into underwater cameras using a specially designed ipx8 certified dry bag case. To test the idea (because initially we did not know how our new product would perform) and to make the training in a real world environment my partner, team and I flew to Puerto Rico to put our new product through its paces. We were stunned when we started to capture images like these. Enjoy…

Sea turtle about the break the surface of the water

This photo was taken off the island of Culebra in Puerto Rico in a turtle reserve. The image was taken with an iPhone 5s AS A VIDEO in a Playtime Gadgets All-Weather Photo Wetsuit and the image pulled off one frame of video.

    Our friend Mr. Blue Fish

This guy seemed to follow us. Wherever we went he came along. Thus, it is only fitting to include a cool photo of him.

    A faster swim

A quick glance left and we saw these guys fly past us. They were swimming away so quickly that it made us worry… that something much bigger was behind us.

Under the sea, under a rock

These fellas loved hanging out under these rocks presumably because there was both ample food and protection against bigger hungry critters.

    A blue school

Taken in very shallow water just off Isla Palomino… we swam along with them for over a block.

    Parrot fish and brain coral

We saw very few parrot fish so when I spied this one I just had to include it here.

    Caught in the crack

This photo was taken off Palominos island in Puerto Rico. Fun to see how the sea life hangs out in nooks, crannies and fissures like this. Once again the photo was an iPhone 6 and an All-Weather Photo wetsuit.

    A blue school

Another shot of the same school we swam with for over a block.

    Streams of light and fish

Taken off Fajardo in Puerto Rico. A few crackers instantly attracted these fish.

    The majesty of coral

It was so nice to see some healthy coral.

    My kind of decorations

Taken off the northwest corner of Isla Culebra we saw some of the most stunning coral decorations.

A reserved turtle in a sea turtle reserve

Just off Isla Culebra is a sea turtle reserve where you can swim with wild sea turtles…
