Dog Spotted Burying His Best Friend After He’d Been Hit By A Car, And It’ll Break Your Heart

Last Wednesday, a dog died after being hit by a car in Buriram, north-east Thailand, leaving his heartbroken canine brother behind. The pooch decided to bury his best friend himself, and it was all captured on camera. Throughout the procedure, we see the doggie using his nose rather than paws to pour dirt onto his brother’s body, stopping only to sniff him for the last time before he proceeds… Get your tissues ready.

Oh Lord, I really am shedding tears here. If anyone has trouble equating dogs with humans and how they think as we do, this is the best example imaginable. My heart goes out to this grieving little child.

So sad... R.I.P little doggy. Just shows that humans are not the only animals capable of love. I hope the little dog left behind is given a home and the love he needs.

I think he's obviously doing something but I am not sure it can be compared to people burying their dead - dogs don't have that in them. They do understand death and do feel pain, but I don't think it goes as far as to actually bury the deceased and have a funeral. He may be doing this to come back to it later and "protect" what is left of this other dog. It doesn't make that dog less painful to watch though!
