A squeaky kitten and a tiny puppy were separated by a plastic barrier at JoLinn Pet House, a pet store in Taiwan. The rebellious kitten just couldn’t deal with it anymore and decided to escape its booth to play with the pup.
The kitten jumped from its display in the most adorable clumsy manner as one could expect from such a fluffball. As the kitten was uneasily balancing over the pup’s booth, the pooch couldn’t hold its excitement, too, and stood on its two paws to help the kitty get in. One brave jump and the two were together!
As cute as it may look, it serves as a reminder of the upsetting isolation baby animals have to endure at pet stores at the age when they are desperate for company. Adopt, don’t shop!

This is depressing. That awful music they have to listen to..no stimulation. No toys. No way to hide from prying eyes. STOP SELLING ANIMALS LIKE PRODUCE! Ban pet shops NOW!

Pet shops should not sell animals. Too many homeless cats and dogs...adopt from shelters and then spay your pets.

Let's see. Options: a) Help the poor critters. b) Make a video where a wagging tail and a happy end mask sadness and struggle. Sorry for being cynical, but there is more than cuteness to this.

I agree with you. Many ignorant people *will* find this cute. For me specifically, It was educational to see how isolated this kitten was, that it braved heights just to visit its friend. We don't have puppy mills where I live, and the fact that they're still widespread sometimes escapes my mind. The article should *begin* with a condemnation of puppy mills, and not label the video as cute, rather than desperate.
