You Won’t Believe These 15+ Renderings Are Computer Generated
Many 2D and 3D artists submitted fascinating works of art during the four months since the CGTrader Digital Art Competition began. The competition is still accepting entries and it seems that the judges will have a hard time picking the 20 best illustrations and concept art pieces after the call to entries ends on the 30th of September.
Modern digital art makes it difficult to identify what’s real and what’s fake, and we have selected more than 15 artworks, which will definitely make you do a double take. In addition to the impressive texturing, technical complexity and detailed expression, each artwork also has a unique narrative.
All of these works of art are 3D renderings, but the competition is open for both 2D and 3D artists. The organizers of the Digital Art Competition want to bring attention to the importance of interaction between these two groups of digital artists:
“Numerous great 3D designers told us how 2D visual art inspires them as much as 3D art. Seeing the impact that CG art has on our world, we want to support all digital artists, and that is precisely why this time we are reaching out to 2D artists. The purpose of this competition is to encourage all designers to create and be courageous experimenters”, said Greta Sadlauskaite, the curator of the CGTrader Digital Art Competition.
