Sometimes everything looks perfectly fine, until you notice one tiny detail that completely changes the picture. That uncomfortable contrast is at the heart of Anton Gudim’s “Yes, But” comics. With minimal text and deceptively simple illustrations, the artist takes familiar situations and adds one unexpected twist, exposing the little absurdities and contradictions hiding in everyday life.

The humor here comes from things that feel just a little too familiar. Gudim finds the awkward catch in situations we might otherwise overlook, turning ordinary moments into clever visual jokes with an unmistakable “well, yes... but” logic.

Ok, but the cold water dip guy would *also* be shivering uncontrollably if he just stood around dipping his feet in the water. It has to be a plunge, it's a deliberate *shock* to the system, not a soothing thing, and you need to take steps to get warm again immediately after (running right into a sauna, or bundling into warm clothing).

Buy better, sturdier spoons. And if the ice cream is really frozen super hard, you'll need a strong scoop, not a table spoon.

Oh come on. The 200 feet warning is NEVER the first sign that was posted. If the traffic was that backed up, you start pushing your way over a mile before the exit!

As someone who doesn't like my nails long, but also uses them constantly for things like the person on the right, the "comfortable length" range is pretty narrow and requires annoyingly frequent maintenance.

YES! Touchscreen controls in cars are so incredibly unwise and risky that they should NEVER have been invented, and should have been legally banned immediately!

So you look both ways to make *sure* no cars are coming, and then you jaywalk. It's only a problem if you live in a place with strict anti-jaywalking laws, and a lot of bored cops.

Many things are more appealing when covered in batter and fried; and sliced raw onions can be omitted from burgers. (But TBH, anyone who hated onions as much as the person on the right likely would find onion rings gross too, preferring other fried side orders.)

Well some people are just going to be thoughtless, bad drivers, not much you can do about it.
