73 Posts That Show People Here Are Just Trying To Survive While Others Are Actively Trying To Prevent That
While having a job provides a livelihood, the work environment can get bad. We’re talking about unreasonable management, a toxic office culture, and corporate greed that benefits no one but the people at the top.
Meanwhile, those who do all the work are left to stew in their frustration. Some have chosen to air their grievances on social media, and this page's posts are excellent examples. As you scroll, you will see why many have chosen to fight back against the system.
Here are some of the posts that stood out the most. Feel free to upvote the ones that resonated with you most.

The US has always enough money for brutalizing and bomㅤbing people, but "can't afford" basic welfare that'd cost like 0,01% of the military and police budget.
I usta be against unions when I was younger, dumber, and naiver; nowadays, I think they’re INCREDIBLE and need to be EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately, the board has ways of making sure people don’t get ‘em, and they buy the s**t they’re being sold. I really hope things begin to change as much as they can before AI does away with us.
This is typical. The retention budget is often much smaller than the the hiring/recruiting budget. Yes, it all eventually comes out of the same bucket, but sadly, companies don't look at it that way.
I'm not defending it, but my understanding is that there is a cap on the benefits received. So if Mr Millionaire paid more into it, he wouldn't receive a SS wage/benefit equal to what he paid in. I get that aspect is fair. There needs to be a better system! And the politicians better not dare dip into SS funds for their other bull$#!*
It’s absolutely sickening that we’ve allowed this to happen. The dickriders of these mega wealthy make me sick the way they gargle their balls. It oughtta be illegal, and I’m sooo disappointed that no one’s targeting the REAL problem, which is that we allow a small handful of people to have ALL the money, and ALL the power. Instead, we get school shootings. 🤷🏻♀️ We just need a group of Luigis willing and smart enough to pull it off.
Also, in this economy, being a millionaire isn't even THAT much considering how many people have it as their #1 goal. You buy a nice house, a nice car and you're back to square one.
Sooo much could be done if we could just prise a billion from his [preferably cold and d**d] hands, but he NEEDS it!
France has all this and they still demonstrate HARD for better living conditions. The USians are just... complacent. Tamed. So brainwashed by the "this is how it is and there's no better option" mindset they don't dare to even imagine anything different, the less fight for it.
Politico is owned by Axel Springer that owns the Bild news paper that is notorious for bashing jobless and migrants and helped cutting wages per Hartz IV. One of the owner of Axel Springer is Mathias Döpfner a right winger who tried to make the current German chancellor to join forces with the right extremist party AfD.
The difference between a cartoon villain and the real world one, is the cartoon one has to be plausible.
Education is an investment in the future of the country. Imagine the benefits to everyone if it were paid by the government. Australia did it for a few years in the 1970s.
"Give us your data - or do you have something to hide? Wouldn't want to look suspicious, would you? 🤨" THIS is why I explicitly *don't* want to personalise my internet experience, tell you where I live, how I liked XYZ product, why try to browse anonymously, and deny/disable any and all cookies I can. Not wanting to browse 24/7 virtually pants down doesn't mean I'm about to overthrow the government, or (😱) the economy.
The blurb is misleading, and the actual (very short) article says that human CO2 production is natural and part of a closed loop, whereas the burning of fossil fuels is releasing enormous amounts of CO2 that has been sequestered for millions of years.
Y'know what? Yes. Replace CEOs with AI. Train a model that just does nothing all day save for a few social media posts about "people not wanting to work anymore" and pointless e-mails to the employees while all the money that'd go to the CEO would go to the workers.
We're still having power issues. It was a bright, sun-shiney day yesterday and my neighborhood lost power.
I'm beginning to think that Jeff Bezos is not a good man.
I'd have more trouble, but if I worked hard enough I could also run out of money after being given $1 trillion at the beginning of the year. In both cases the problem is spending too much, not having too little. Also, what word is censored?
Psst: If it *saves* $1 trillion per year we wouldn't actually have to pay for it. we'd just need to do some accounting and decide how to use the $1 trillion. Caveat: I assume much of the savings would come from eliminating 3rd party profit, as well as some of the 3rd party labor costs. Much of that profit ends up going to normal people through investments and pensions, and the labor costs are because 3rd party employees have jobs.
Also - "capitalism made your phone!!!!" No. The workers made the phone. Capitalism just funneled the profits from it towards some good-for-nothing walking suit and put subpar components into it that force me to replace it in just a few years
Hatarakanai Ojisan (働くおじさん): This term describes older male employees—usually Gen X or baby boomers in their late 50s and 60s—who remain on the payroll with senior salaries but contribute very little to daily operations. Surveys indicate that nearly 49% of Japanese companies have such an employee. Common behaviors include taking long smoking or snack breaks, staring into space, chatting, or browsing the internet.
I'd love to know about the accounting that says that. Money flows up, not down, and the ultra-rich are rich because of the large number of poors that *have* to spend what little they have.
😳 Whoa! I didn’t expect Luxembourg, of all places, to be sooo far down on the list! I’ve always thought of it as a very, VERY wealthy place. Or is it but it suffers from some of the same problems the US does, like wealth-hoarding? I spose I oughtta go look. (I’m also surprised by Canada; I was in the middle of packing to move to Toronto when 9/11 happened and I never made it. I’m thinking I was jumping from one frying pan into a slightly better frying frying pan.) Whatever; I’d happily live in any of those places (save Australia; I like my skin, and don’t like venomous things) if I had the chance.
Then with all that, it turned out the person who started the GoFundMe was his daughter , and it was shut down and $745K was returned to donors.
Who did they ask, because it wasn't me? SS needs more revenue, but it doesn't need to get it by raising the rate on people (of any age) earning less than 150k.
😳 When I was at Apple, I kept getting raises without asking for ‘em. Every six months. I already had jaw-dropping benefits, bonus, stock options, sabbaticals, vacations, the works. I expected it all to be waaay better now, decades later. Dammit; I guess every big company is evil now. 😞 I’m glad I was able to enjoy such a sweet time; I just feel sick about the young people I meet who tell me their goal is to work there.
Insurance will tell you it's elective and not covered. But if you don't get treatment, you keel. They'll say you shouldn't have gotten bit.
I don’t understand this at all. YOU BUILD IT; YOU PAY FOR IT. How is this even allowed to happen? So I can build a house and have my neighborhood pay for it? No? Then why are we letting companies with ALL THE MONEY do this? Why aren’t there literal REVOLTS?
The guy was offered his job back (IIRC he found an even better job) and got a shit ton of back pay.
And who is SpaceX's largest customer? That's right, the US Government.
What the idiots don't realize: higher rent = pricing residents out of their homes = less income.
I’m so curious it hurts. I’d be really grateful if a Republican Panda could tell us what they feel reading these. Are you okay with what you read here? Or do you think it’s all a lie? Are you okay with what you’ve read? I’m not looking to excoriate you; I’m genuinely curious about your perspective. Me, I read these things and become horribly depressed; I just wanna know what you feel reading these things. Did anything you read change your mind about anything? I be extremely appreciative of your perspective, as I’m just trying to understand. Thanks so much for helping with that! (I was a lifelong Republican myself, until the Tea Party event changed my mind.)
